Making OMOD and wyre bash

Can any and all mods be turned into OMODs? What about ones that are just textures/meshes with out a .esp? How about plug-ins for OBSE? I recently realized how to make OMODs and see how simple it is, but want to be sure of what I can and can't convert.

As for wyre bash, I've never used it and see that some mods say they require it. I had thought it was basically just an alternative to OBMM except it could install zipped files instead of using OMODs. Is there any reason to use both at once or would it be wise to switch to using wyre bash instead?

I actually use both as some mods have to be installed with OBMM. However I manage my load order and other things all through Wyre.

Wrye has tons of things it can do especially managing leveled lists and mods that add things to the game world like new foods or potions or creatures.

So I would read up on the Wyre...its a bit complicated but once you can at least figure out how to use the bash patch effectively you make life sooo much easier.

To answer your question: it would be wise to switch to Wrye Bash altogether. OBMM is obsolete, not to mention extremely buggy. But not only that, Wrye Bash is like your Swiss Army Knife for Oblivion. It has oh, so many features. Learn how to use the BAIN installers. The help file is your friend. NB: don't be put off at how complicated it looks at the start. It really isn't once you get the idea.

No, Wrye Bash will not read OMODs, but you can extract the OMODs in OBMM and create archives from them provided they are of a simple structure and don't require scripts to install. The more complex ones can be done, but requires more expert knowledge.
