PC requirements and advisements

RAM is also a necessity. 8gb of 1333 or 1600 is plenty!

4 GB of 1333 is already enough for your high detail Skyrim & Battlefield 2 needs.

right so if 4gb is enough, then 8gb is plenty! lol

so then by extension

wouldn't 16gb make you future proof

no, only because from what ive learned so far, there is no such thing as future proof when it comes to building PCs....more like a few years proof.

though since most games barely utilize 4gb RAM, im sure 16gb would carry you for a long time.

Definition : Future Proof - spending your money now so you won't have it to spend in the future

ATM, with a good budget, I could in theory build a future proof PC for up to 6 years. Even though we are at the beginning (well, in the middle actually) where your graphics looks like that of RL, where you are future proofed for about 2 years for around 1k USD, a fact still remains: People are always inventing new ways, new technology etc. to have more NPCs on your screen, to have more bullets flying above your head, to have larger maps, to be able to see those tiny dirt pixels on the ground and so on. For me, a new rig I am planning ATM should be future proofed for 5 years at least, due to not being fan of fancy looking graphics, but gameplay elements.

16gb of RAM is only good for awesomeness factor for a normal person.
