Viewing Files

Just wanted to voice a small opinion. Browsing downloads is kinda annoying only being able to view 12 at a time. And many descriptions are tricky to read with the add right smack dab in middle of 1st listing pushing the text to one side. Would be much nicer to have the add's all the way over on one side and have the ability to chose to view more listings at a time. The Huge square boxes just dont cut it for me. It's not pleasing to the eyes or manageable.

Really appreciate the work with the new site Dark0ne, but I"m afraid I'll have to second this. Even if it were possible to just have the one file stretching across the available space, instead of two on one line, it would be much easier to navigate.

Thanks, Cris.

Showing the comments on same page as the description would also be useful.

I never download a mod without checking comments (if there are any), just so I'm aware of any bugs or if others have enjoyed using it. Opening the mod page, then navigating to the comments page, and then back if I'm interested in downloading the file(s) is such an unneccessary inconvenience, maybe you could add this feature to your users' preferences pages, but I really can't imagine anyone choosing not to use it.

While you're at it, might as well post the screenshot thumbnails on the same page aswell!!! :P

Great work Dark0ne!

... is such an unneccessary inconvenience

It's completely necessary. It reduces major load on the server. Sounds like you'd be surprised that less than 50% of people read the comments for files when viewing them.

Same goes for thumbnails on the same page.

How about implementing it as part of the user's preferences then, because if "some" users are always used to looking at the comments, they'll do it anyway, so that would be another call to the server, and another page load for the user? I'm not entirely sure if php copes with multiple calls to the database, aspx is quite happy with it, so maybe it just wouldn't be possible anyway.

Maybe, see there are more users requesting for this, before agreeing or dismissing this.

Apologies for making such a nuisance, guess I was using Planet Elder Scrolls for a while so just got used to it.

Thanks for the quick reply btw.
