Oblivion and Real Life

If someone made a portal to a world like 'Oblivion', with the catch that it is a one-way trip, would you go? Yes, you would have to sacrifice your familial relations and alliances to forge new ones, and yes, you'd be dust in a grave, in your own time era, due to how long ago Oblivion supposedly took place.

If you did go, what kind of person would you be? Would you take with you certain ideas that people in these games seem to lack, like the great idea of changing one's clothes, having children, using a restroom, and etc?

Would you be a shop-keep, or would you work in a Castle? Would you learn the Arts of MageCraft or Alchemy? Thievery or Assassination? Would you be an occassional adventurer, or a stead-fast, dedicated fighter, looting ruins, rescuings lords or damsels in distress, and maybe even saving the world?

Which guild would you join? Will you become the Grey Fox or the Listener? Head-Mage or Master Fighter?

Would you miss your friends, your family that you left behind when the Portal was destroyed, or would you have forgotten them the moment you stepped through?

Would you be happy in this age, an age without electricity, flushing toilets, cars, and mobile phones, but an age with danger, intrigue, purpose, and accomplishment?

I think he means if you were ACTUALLY transported to a fantasy world, not just playing oblivion forever. I don't know if I would choose to go, but if I DID go I would be a scholar. In oblivion I usually PLAY as an assassin, but if I was in there I would share my knowlege to benifit man, mer and beast kind (assuming I keep the knowlege I have in this world).

Mage/Swordfighter.

Mastering certain spells to supplement my sword skills (I do fencing.).

And only fight honourably, face to face.

I'd have nothing to do with sneaking around and killing people from behind.

Oh, and I'd live in Anvil.

I would go in a heart beat.

I would become an Assassin.

The thought of creeping into someones room and waking them up just a second before i slit their throat, it just makes me all tingly inside.

I like my life just the way it is.

However, If I were to be magically whisked away to Tamriel, I'd try for a job as an Officer in the Legion. I'd also undertake minimal magic studies, just handy spells (Light, Water Walking/Breathing etc) and things to amuse myself (Telekinesis, paralysis)

Failing that, I could always be a farmer.
