Peondust
please make the site firefox 3.6.20 compatible :/ one day later and the site now works with my 3.6.20 version of firefox! i want to make sure to thank you for the fix. im glad you noticed the problem and did a fast fix for that. i hope i get used to the new design. currently i see some flaws here and there. like the lack of aspect ratio of images and the not used space to the left and right. but i am sure this will be fixed in future design optimization. Brpzly
Ok, here's my "Me Too" IE 8, Win 7/64, I've cleared cookies, and Enabled the Compatability View. still get Nothing when I click one of the mod links, just stay on the Description, the tabs do nothing... falloutperson416
Yeah vansenigma's spam, or in this case quadruple x3 post is because of lag.
UntouchedShadow
"Happy 10th Birthday, Nexus. Just be glad I didn't give you a hat..." How dare you insult TF2. It may be obsessed with hats, but it's fun and will be better than this damn site ever will be. And if you ban me for this post, it just shows you can't take criticism. Antiscamp
I've uploaded a file. Now noone can download it. On my screen I only get a white box and no download, others report File Not Found. My file is sure there though; it even says how large it is and all. EDIT: I have now removed my update from TesNexus. Edited August 24, 2011 by Antiscamp
cookie133
After following all of the troubleshooting directions (cache, compatibility etc) I still am unable to use the site on IE9. I can use the tabs to switch between the description and download links for a mod, but clicking on a download link does absolutely nothing. I don't wish to be rude, but this new design is very ugly, the site is now quite difficult to navigate, and as a user of nexus sites for some years I feel that it was all totally unnecessary to boot – the old site worked just fine, and should have been updated with the new features you mentioned rather than completely changed. XTR3M368
I have been racking my brain on why it has to be so narrow and squished....please tell me it isn't for mobile app browsers....if this is catering to them...what a slap in the face to people that will actually use the mods or upload them. You can't play any of the games the nexus hosts on a mobile phone, nor would downloading any files to said phone make any sense....please tell me this site isn't downgraded visually just so Robin can run around and check it on his mobile phone. Other sites make sense to squish them into mobile browser sizes...like the wikis ect. gaming websites don't. Seriously, if there was somewhere else to host my files other than the BSN which has the same issues or worse, I would. another point....the way the images are on the main page really doesn't work. I guess all of us that are authors are going to have to resize and crop our images so that they display right. I used to love this site, now coming here is just a "have to due to nothing else being available"....quite sad really. The functionality is OK....if you ignore the continuing mysql, lag and bugs...but visually....The old site really had great presentations of author mods and author images. That is gone. The presentation now is lack luster and generic and that is not the author's fault.
GTA44
I have to agree with cookie133 and XTR3M368 below. Every point they've made. As the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". v.v Edited August 24, 2011 by GTA44
lametrie
Thank you very much for the new design! It's not only a face lift, great after the years!, but as I'm getting around the new sites, I feel it is all a bit easier and more at one place than before. I liked the orange but it's great that you followed the comments to get it a bit less intense, I see the point that it can be too much after time. I like the colours, it's fresher and the other things come shure to be solved after some time. As for example the notification mentioned, I liked that very much too and have not found it yet. And the rank of users haven't I found either... After all, I appreciate your work and the possibillities you give to the community with that site, Dark0ne! Your site is a very important part of my gaming world, thanks a lot! Edited August 24, 2011 by lametrie
Sam Lake
I didn't like the new design when I first saw the preview version, and I still don't like it. The old one was simple, but it had certain charm to it. It's hard to explain, but now that everything's squished in the middle, it makes me feel... uneasy. But don't worry, you've given your (understandable) reasons, so I'm not going to whine about the change. I'll just get used to it, I guess. There's just one thing that I really can't get over, though - why are the headings smaller than regular text now? Apart from not making any sense, isn't it against typographic rules or something? Anyway, just my two cents. Carry on. EDIT: One more thing. I don't know what is the reason behind the preview images being squished, but I checked in Firebug and it took me a second to fix it - you've specified both width and height for images. Get rid of the width property and set text-align:center for the parent element. Problem solved. If you can't do that for some reason I don't know about, forget I said anything.
