Tchos
And here are the last of the sites' reskins. These are for those of us who prefer fluid widths. As before, Stylish plugin for Firefox or Chrome required. Fallout New Vegas Nexus: http://userstyles.or...fluid-width-etc Dragon Age Nexus: http://userstyles.org/styles/52891/dragon-age-nexus-fluid-width-etc The lot of them are here: http://userstyles.org/users/115273 http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/2013/dragonagenexusafter.jpg Edited August 25, 2011 by Tchos
f1f2f3
There's no actual reason why the fixed width should be mandatory. This isn't the Web 1.0 anymore. I would also appreciate if people would stop posting nonsense like "people just fear change". Not every change is per se a good thing. Vaz2008
The category a file is in does not seem to be displayed anywhere on its page. If it is, it's obviously not obvious enough.

Tchos
@amycusPerhaps it would, but many people don't seem to notice I've been posting these. That, or they're using browsers that don't support the plugin. Well, the plugin isn't technically necessary either, but it's easier than doing it manually. Mitheledh
The side skins are nice, but all it does is cover up the real problem. That it's wasted space. Spiff it up all you want, that fact doesn't change.
nuclearsean
I don't have a problem with the fixed width at all. Many sites are fixed widith (IGN.com being a good example) but I do think that the space isn't being utilized well. As it stands now, only 2/3 of the current space actually has content on it and the other 1/3 just has 3 boxes and an ad so once we scroll past them, it's nothing but blank space. Perhaps maybe the most endorsed recent file could have a File of the Week/Month box on the side with a thumbnail, # of endorements and shortened description with a link that says show more. This may not be the best idea but I think that something needs to be done to better utilize all of the fixed width area.
CheeseyBall
Idea!Keep the fixed width IF it is absolutely essential. Just utilise the space better. What annoyed me just very slightly was not being able to select a category of search from any page at all, because in the new sites you have to search for nothing and then click 'search again'. This brings you to the advanced search page. And using the default search brings up the results for anything Oblivion. This could be redone, maybe. I think the idea of skins and such is actually really good, so yes. Fixed width. Another way to search is to hover over Files and select Categories or Advanced Search. AWZ
I would really appreciate it if you could have edit buttons directly on the page of a file even if you just have edit rights. Its very annoying to get back to the memberarea every time. Thanks
