Fixed Width Nexus Sites

Hi All,

Just trying to get a sense of how much of the community prefers a dynamic, scaling website layout over the new fixed-width layout?

I understand Dark0ne is fairly adamant about sticking to the fixed-width layout, to my dismay. Am I in the minority here? Perhaps if the VAST majority of users prefer a dynamic layout then Dark0ne might be more willing to reconsider?

For me it's a big enough deal that it makes me not want to use the new website at all, and that's saying something. Up until the new design, I would spend many hours 'hanging out' on the Nexus, and in turn generating revenues for the Nexus by generating 'hits' for their advertisements. Now, I just pop in for a minute to check my mods, and then run away.

I understand that there are many factors that inform site design, but User Experience should always be near the very top of that list, particularly for a community-oriented website. I do not fault the Nexus for pursuing a site upgrade, that is natural and healthy. This new layout, however, is NOT healthy for the Nexus communty.

Interested to hear the community's thoughts here. If most folks actually like the new fixed-width layout, I'll just shut the F up and mind my own business elsewhere.

I personally don't mind, and either way people have already found out ways to make the width dynamic (check out my sig).

Also, is this really specific for the new vegas discussion? I'm not really sure if it even needs a new topic, considering that there are 4 or 5 already that deals with feedback on the new design,

Not going to happens means it's not going to happen. As in: it's not going to happen. Going to close this because there's enough of it already. Oh, and because it's not going to happen.
