3oio3
I would be a Vampire, because I would get such a boost to reflexes and speed, as a result of potentially unlimited training time, so that I could easily beat many alternatives. ElvenPlugg
In reply to the very first posts, the sun damage will not matter so much in Skyrim, due to the wide ranging variety of environments such as the volcanic tundra's, etc. I think as vampire's we will be able to live in environments where the sun isnt so bright thus causing not as much sun damage and allowing new pathways for better and bigger quests in that area. But then again the werewolf idea sounds fantastic, and is going to be a great attribute for hunters and warrior classes. Any news on the idea for poisoning blades and arrows etcetera? Blu02
I played a lot as a vampire in Oblivion, and that's what I still prefer. They're classy, intelligent, manipulative and interesting, which makes them very awesome characters to build and roleplay. But Bethesda's vision of vampires will most probably be way off this time as well, so I'll probably wait a few months before I make a vampire in Skyrim with some mod. Warewolves are fun to hunt or be hunted by! :D
Sepherose
Personally, both. I loved in Bloodmoon, if you did it right, you could get infected with both diseases. Not only did you have to worry about feeding, but you also needed to be concerned with the lunar cycles. Plus, all of the awesome stat boosts XD I think that something like that would be awesome in Skyrim... especially if they planned for it and gave the resulting creature a slightly unique look. No, I don't mean along the lines of Underworld, I just mean a slight tweak. maybe werewolves have a slightly more beastial look even when not shifted? And vampires will have a slightly different appearance after being infected as well if Oblivion is anything to go by, combine the two, and you have a unique look, but on top of that, when shifted as a werewolf, maybe make their fur paler, or fangs longer, something like that to give them a distinction. Where did you get this?
Ghogiel
Yeah, how is sun going to do less damage just becaue you are standing of a frozen lake vs a volcanic tundra? Under the lake or in a cave... yeah. but standing in the open at noon... ouchie.
Blu02
When I played a vampire in Oblivion, I installed a mod that would give me an amulet that protected me from sundamage when walking outside during daytime. I modified it to be a robe instead, covering all of my characters body and non-weapon slots. This way I balanced it to protect me from sunlight, but leaving my character with no possibility of wearing any armor, and with some medium penalty on health and fatigue. So using this robe I could at least still enjoy the beautiful days and walk amongst people and shops while they were awake and open, but really had to stay out of trouble. This made my gaming as vampire a lot more interesting and variating. I hope they put something like this into the game, or it will be amongst the first things I'll mod myself :)

Carfreak11
I don't really think we'd be able to turn into a bat, considering if the cities were in different cells. I think that was the reason with oblivion anyways. But as I've seen in Skyrim previews so far a lot of the cities seem to be outdoors so it may be a possibility, but Todd Howard definatley wouldn't tell us.
