Sativarg
The first time I saw this I loved it. http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/5752/princessmononokejapanesip5.jpgMononoke_hime_cgi.pngPrincessmononoke_poster.jpgPrincesssan.JPGI have seen it at least eight times and every time I see it I am inspired to tell some one about it. I will not go on and on about this Anime that does not "suck". I just had to say that because the thread I read was closed before I reached once again for もののけ姫 ? and decided to add it to the list of Anime that does not suck. If you can watch Princess Mononoke and not feel some thing good, uplifting and inspiring then I am sorry for you. Some Anime has more reality to offer than most text books IMHO. Thank you Miyazaki Hayao for your beutiful heart. Thank you, thenexusforums, for reading this.

Dark0ne
RahXephon Looks very interestind Dark0ne I will have to find a copy of the Movie(Pluralitas Concentio). Or where you referring to the TV series If you're interested in it then definately watch the series. The films lose all the depth and intricasy that made the series so great. It's a mecha, but the real focus is on the philosophy, background and character development rather than the combat, a bit like Full Metal Panic! in those regards, although RahXephon is more serious than FMP!. TheTerminator2004
Yeah, this is an amazing film! Definitely one of the best anime films I've ever seen, although it's not quite as good as some of his other work, like Spirited Away, which is without a doubt one of the best anime films ever made. Hmm, and Farscape. I will have to find the DVD release when I get a few bucks ahead again. :) RE:Spirited Away Awards: Won Oscar. Another 35 wins & 18 nominations Now Why didn't I see this? Oh Yea, 2003 was a bad year for me. Eviction/layoff + DUI + jail = no PC, TV or car. LOL Great, I get to see it new now. Thanks Terminator. :) I got to get to work now. Got two lawns today. Vagrant0
Not a big fan of Mononoke, it was alright, maybe worth seeing once, but nothing to get obsessed about. Or maybe that's because I've only seen the dubbed version, and have since judged the vast majority of dubbed anime to be total garbage. There is just something that is lost when western voice actors (script readers) are brought in and western conventions are used. I don't recall anything too horrific about the VA in Mononoke, but again I really wasn't paying much attantion at that time. I'd be tempted to re-watch it, but doing so would probably kill the whole movie for me. Not a big fan of Anime movies in general really. Most just don't do the series justice when they come after the series, and most just don't capture the characters well when they're made before a series. At any rate, most movies just aren't long enough to really get into, and still often have some of the filler stuff that makes a good series seem too slow. Nevermind the fact that most movies that get imported are geared more toward children so can often be very lacking in depth or subject matter. Sativarg
OK I exaggerated. I might have seen the movie 5 times including this last time. But I still have nothing but praise for it. Perhaps I am a very old child. Yes I am an elder child. A child with a hangover.
