Disabled Streamline's Streamsmooth yet 'Glass Distance' sl

Title should be: Disabled Streamline's Streamsmooth yet 'Glass Distance' slider still moves automatically

(The topic title form accepted the long title, yet it got cut off by the forum software.)

I already disabled Streamsmooth in Streamline's sl.ini but when I set 'Grass distance' to max, exit the options, and then open the options again, the 'Grass distance' slider goes back to ~87. This does not happen with the other settings - they stay where I set them.

Another issue I'm having is: Changing the Streamsave hotkey (set SLv.SaveKey) from the default 121 (F10) to 116 (F5) does not work (I changed the default Oblivion F5 quicksave key to F10 first). However Streamsave works if I used its default F10 key.

My sl.ini (before the streamsave hotkey change; only difference is 'set SLv.SaveKey' is set to 116 (F5) instead of the default 121(F10): http://tinypaste.com/cf15e

Here's my mod list: http://tinypaste.com/4df920

Unlisted are: Oblivion Stutter Remover, UOP Supplementals, Fast Exit 2

My system specs:

OS: 64-bit Windows 7

RAM: 4 GB DDR3 RAM

CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 3.0 GHZ (3 cores)

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6750 (1 GB GDDR5 RAM)

I also would appreciate any advice to optimize Streamline given my sl.ini and system specs above. Thanks.

After moving the slider, make a save before doing anything else.

I tried this. I immediately did a save a split-second after moving the slider and then exiting the options, but its still back at 87, after checking in the options.

Just a question: where did you instal Oblivion?

If the answer is in the default C:\Program Files (x86).... that already mean all sort of troubles to the point that making a complete uninstall and reinstalling in a user created folder is the best and secure way to go.

Else, about the slider, Streamsight might be what is changing it (or any other mod regarding fps optimization, like OBGE for example). about changes in the sl.ini file let's quote the Configuration.txt

** THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT **

If you make changes to the sl.ini file after you have

installed and played with Streamline active, you will

need to initalize the mod with the new sl.ini values for

them to take effect. You can do this in the SL Main Menu

by choosing the "Special Actions" button, and choosing

the Re-Initialize option.

good luck

Since I also play a lot of old games, I install all games at C:\Games\

Doh! :wallbash: Did this, and everything worked fine. This message should be a comment in the INI file itself, for people like me.
