Fast moving NPC's

Hey.

I've installed a lot of mods for Oblivion and I got a problem. I have no idea what mod is causing this, but all NPC's/creatures in the game is moving at least 3-4 times the normal speed. They attack faster also. Any ideas what mod can be causing this?

It would probably be helpful if you listed all the mods you have installed as well as what mods were installed after you had a working game that might have caused this. The best way to list your mods is by using Wrye bash and right click on the mods tab and choose list mod. Then copy the text and past it here including the spoiler tags so that your post isn't extremely long.

Mod troubleshooting can be exhausting to say the least. Your best bet would be to deactivate any mods you have recently installed and activate them 1 at a time and test to see if you have the issue. This might require that you start from a fresh install and add mods 1 at a time to test if you didn't already do that or can't deactivate a mod properly.

I installed a mod compilation I found on another forum. I had no mods installed before as I recently installed Oblivion again to go through it one more time before Skyrim is out.

Everything seems to be working fine so far except for the fast moving NPC's.

Here is the list of mods. It's extensive.

It's never a good idea to use compilations, as you have found out. Compatibility is just one of the reasons that they are not allowed on the Nexus.

That may be true, and that's why I didn't link to it. Nevertheless, if anyone have any ideas what mod can be causing this, I'd appreciate the help.

It is also never a good idea to install multiple mods without testing the game after installing each single mod. In this way you are able to test to be sure that the game still works. Once you are sure the game works, install the next mod and test. Rinse and Repeat until all mods are playing nicely.

Without a mod list it's going to be very difficult.

Kind of like calling a doctor on the phone and saying I can't tell you anything about myself, but I'm sick. I've been taking a bunch of pills that someone else gave me but I can't tell you what they are because they may be illegal. Please cure me. :whistling:

As has already been said we don't allow compilations just for this reason. Any one mod can cause a problem, and you don't know which it could be. Maybe the author made a fix just for this problem, but because you have a compilation - you can't use it without redoing the entire compilation. And you can't redo the compilation because you copied it from some where else.

I did provide a mod list. :)

Anyway, I guess I just have to figure it out then.

Check your FPS in game. Higher FPS can make it look like everyone is going too fast sometimes.

When I got my new comp, I turned off vsync and got 175 FPS in the jail cell. Looked like everyone was running around on crack! WAAAY too weird, hahaha!

Also, your load order looks....strange. Did you BOSS it and disable Wrye Bash's lock times?
