Blu02
Depends on what games you're going to play. In some games Crossfire/SLI doesnt scale well enough to be worth the extra money. And it's mainly just recommended for people who're playing with very high resolutions or/and AA-settings. Otherwise I'm sure you wont get disappointed with a single good card instead. JimboUK
Get one for now and add another later if you find you need it. Most games these days are ports designed to run on dated console hardware, higher end GPUs can run them without any problems unless you're going to play at a very high resolution. I'm sure I can hear my ageing 5870 snoring through most games.
hoofhearted4
ya, if your getting a high end card you wont even notice the difference between one and two cards really. just remember that if you buy the second card at a later date that it needs to be the EXACT same card as the first one or it wont run in SLI
N3C14R
if you buy the second card at a later date that it needs to be the EXACT same card as the first one or it wont run in SLIExcept for the brand, clock speed, memory and pcb.:turned: Eg, a reference gtx560 with 1gb vram can be sli'd with an oc'd gtx560 with 2gb ram and a non reference pcb. ThomasAccount
Remember:Two cards mean double power consumption, double heat production and double fan-sound, but not double speed. For HD-Gaming one card mostly is enough, only if you have a 30" monitor you will perhaps need 2 cards, or a double card. I think, you should buy one high end card with a good cooling system, that not sound like an industrial cleaner.
