This Story is Untitled

I've made this kind of forum game a long time ago, and I decided to make a new one. The game is simple, you choose between the two choices the last poster has given, then you continue the story based on your choice, then give two choices for the next poster to choose. I really wish my English is better. I'll just give you an example.

The large screen turns on. I see other people on the screen, each in their own cells. Who are these people? Why are they in those cells? Maybe they're just like me, woke up in a cell, had no idea what's going on. I still can't remember how I got here. The last thing I remembered was going to that mall, and that was at least a week ago! I need to get out of here before someone gets here.

 

1. Leave the room and try to find way to escape.

2. Search the room some more to find out what's going on.

I can't find anything but a uniform ... (and so on)

 

Attention people! This is a forum game, there are rules!

 

1. The "story part" doesn't have to be long, it could be as short as two or three sentences.

2. The story takes place on an alternate universe, the Information Age. So anything can happen, as long it's realistic. Maybe there's no World War II, maybe vigilantes exist, or maybe everything is the same.

3. No fantasy elements. Keep it realistic, so the story doesn't get out of hand or becomes to bizzare. But minor science fiction elements is okay, as long you make it look realistic.

4. No Aborted Arcs. If the hero's father is kidnapped, then that problem had to be finished first before moving to another chapter of the story.

5. I'm not some gamemaster or anything. I just started the thread, made the rules (maybe add new ones, if necessary), but I don't have any other power. If you guys agreed that the current story is boring and want to make a new one, then go ahead. It's the same for other problems.

6. Try to leave things that aren't too important to the story be undefined. Unless it's vital to the story. The age of the Hero is 25-35, though.

6. But the most important rule of all, have fun!

 

 

I don't have any ideas for the story :confused: . Maybe one of you can help start the game. A little discussion first would be good. Try to find an interesting theme, we don't want this game to fail.

Hmm once apon a time in the nexus forums someone decided to start a sock war, thus the sock wars begin, while lent is the enemy. I dont't know i just thought of it since i just recently did my laundry.

 

Actually the nexus part is a true story :tongue:

I went with Thor's none existent 1. "search in lint hideout for possible hostage sock"

 

You enter a large spacious room decorated heavily in thick lint. Obviously, you have found the lint lair. You cautiously tread forward, being careful not to attract attention, looking for your missing sock. You come across a dying lint ball. It is thickly covered in Omo, and on the brink of passing. You...

 

1. Try to converse with the lint ball...

2. Step on the lint ball and squish it...

I would go with

I would talk sock pollitics with it while trying to free the dying lint ball, and secretley try to escape the large lint lair. As we try to find a way out by sneaking are way past the lint gaurds, one spots us and we run for it, while searchiing for a lint weapon to protect our fragile bodys.

 

Turns out he be friends you and becomes your lint companion.

 

Also the piece of lint has some secret intel of your missing left sock may be held up, it was the wrong sock lair.

Theres a saying some where???

Lint isn't all that welcome in Sock society, your lint companion will be mocked and cursed at and a outcast of socioty thats for sure.:devil: since it is war time.

Surely, the ball could become a valuable companion, but answers must come first in such a dangerous place. You take the lint ball out of sight, and warn it that if any noise ensues, it's dead meat. You regret being so harsh, but it needs to be done to secure your own safety. Quickly, you ask the first question that pops into your head...

 

1. What happened to you?

2. What are the lints planning?
