Leveling passed level 12 seems endless after MOD install (OOC)

hey folks.

Decided to play some oblivion on my new lappy and installed OOO to give it a make over. After what looked like a succesfull install of version 1.33 and following

the guidelines for re-level of NPC's it seems that I am now unable to gain experience and pass level 12.

I have hit and hit and run and smashed and done quest uppon quest but none of my major skills or level bar has moved at all for hours.

Obviously something has gone wrong with the MOD installation, since im no tech on such matters, was just hoping that someone might have had a similar problem and

reading through the forums and "google knows" I have not been able to find any information regarding my problem.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

BMD

Didnt make any difference that I can tell, still cant level, unless I turn off OOO, so thinking I must have made a mistake installing 1.3 to 1.33 somewhere along the road,

in the process of reinstalling from steam, and hope I have better luck the second time around.

PS. I am not a fan of installing MOD's they always give me hassle :)

Cheers,

Ok, first of all you don't level in the same way with Oblivion XP. There's no major and minor increases by hitting and blocking. Doing things like discovering new places, reading books, eating ingredients, killing, completing quests... all of those type of activities will get you experience points. When you installed it did you get the pop up that said it was going to adjust your stats? If not, then you haven't installed it or OBSE correctly. Also, if you can level by disabling OOO then you probably have one of the OOO level rates plugins installed.

wonderin

did you install OOO onto an existing game

and is it therefore necessary to gain experience to fill in the gap before you can progress further?

but then again

considering the information not provided

it could be any combination of over 1,000,000 problems

(consider posting your actual load order, did you run it through BOSS, did you read the instructions on all the mods you installed, is your character too under powered to survive OOO at level 11-12 . . .)

Ack lots to consider there and also a few things I dont even know about like BOSS you mention.

I bought GOTY from steam, so there was quite a few DLC with it, but most of it was just houses, castles etc for use by player to decorate etc, so no

I did not check them as they all got pre-installed by steam, and I (maybe) wrongly assumed that they would not give me any problems with other DLC/MOD's.

I do think I made mistakes while trying to install OOO:

1.3 the original file, as it requires me to re-level NPC's I have no clue if im doing that right, as I have no experience with wrye bash and what it actually can

besides being a MOD manager (?)

It also installed all sorts of other windows components that I Have no clue about what so ever (phyton?BSA?)

Then after I did the relevel thing on 1.3 I realised there was a version 1.32 and 1.33....I doubt I installed those correctly and might have just skipped 1.32 completely to begin

with.

Also have OBSE now, and dont really understand its meaning either,

Thus im now DL and reinstalling from steam, and hopefully I can salvage a save game from my own mess, maybe I will try a few lesser MOD's or just plain start over with the

OOO installed...

Thanks for the help, I doubt im done asking rather boring questions,

Cheers,
