Nintii
Well it's that time again, the Rugby World Cup is here ... this time around New Zealand will be the hosts ... who do you support, if you support the sport at all ... and what are your predictions ? The match I'm going to be watching will be on sunday morning ZA vs Wales ... my prediction ZA 32 ... Wales 10 ... there is no losing ... all the best to you Wales ! http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff434/yuri-chick/rugbyteams2011-1.jpg Damn that Scotsman is hot ... Check out the Rugby 2011 wiki for Teams and Fixtures ... awesome. rUGBY 2011 WIKI Edited September 10, 2011 by Nintii
grannywils
Nintii, not only is he hot, but I think he is wearing a Gordon tartan (which was my now deceased husband's family tartan). Cannot see it that well from here, but am pretty sure. Anyway, unfortunately I know virtually nothing about Rugby, but did know someone years ago who played and he was from northern Ireland. So if they are playing, I will have root for them. Otherwise for the hot scotsman. lol
Flintlockecole
I'll side with the Kiwi's this time round. I've dealt with the Welsh more than I truly care for.
ginnyfizz
Ah, but the Kiwis didn't have it all their own way against Tonga, despite the scoreline (they thought they were going to put 60 points past them apparently) and they have had a record of choking since they won the inaugural World Cup. Go England, who have had a record of actually turning in performances above expectation in the tournament. Ah...who can forget the pissed off expression on Aussie PM John Howards face, that day in 2003 when Johnno loomed over him to receive the trophy? Or Sebastian Chabal (that's the caveman one at the top left, Granny), bawling his eyes out when England tipped France out in the semis last time around? BTW girls I think BoD (Brian O'Driscoll)(that's the one in the very centre Granny) is pretty hot too. These rugby guys make soccer players look a bit wimpish, to say the least. grannywils
Wow, Ginny, you really know your rugby!! And I agree.... BoD (cute nickname) is rather fetching, now that you mention it "fans self feverishly":woot:
Nintii
Latest ENGLAND vs ARGENTINA ... game What a messy game for both sides ... the clip says it all ...Though I will say that both sides both came into the game desperately wanting a win ... It was the Falklands spirit all over again. With a whole slough of misses England finally scored a try in the 67th minute of the game, the man to cross the line was Ben Youngs ... finally a try !I do believe that they are going to be bashed in the press back home.Argentina knows they came close and will will seek to destroy their opponents in the coming matches ... I see this Pool ending with England vs Argentina once more. clip for England vs Argentina highlights ... (clip length 3min 48 sec) ... NAMIBIA vs FIJI What an excellent game, lots of running and tries and drop-goals ... Fiji definitely a force to be reckoned with, South Africa is definitely going to have watch them closelyand Namibia proving themselves to be a new kid on the rugby block ... very nicely done. clip for Fiji vs Namibia highlights (clip 4 min 25 sec) .... FRANCE vs JAPAN game ... The Japanese certainly pressed the French who were a bit sloppy after half time and gave them a bit of a scare, though the "Troclores" managed a good bit of running and excellent passing. "I got a victory, which was the most important thing for me, and then I wanted a consistent game but in this regard I wasn't too happy," said France coach Marc Lievremont. Yeah, i guess so, let's see how you do againsts the All Blacks on the 24th ... clip for Fance vs Japan highlights ...(clip length 4min 37 sec) ... The SCOTLAND vs ROMANIA GAME .... My word, the Scots were against the ropes, though the scoreline is what counts, but that was a bit of survivalist play from them ... The Romanians were no pushovers, I'll definitely be watching them."And the Scots are out of jail" ... Personally I'm waiting for the Scotland vs Argentina match on the 25th and the Scotland vs England on the 1st of Oct. Clip for Scotland vs Romania highlights (clip length 4min 32 sec) ... ginnyfizz
Wilko had a stinker with his kicking, or the scoreline might have been quite different, and England are going to have to watch their own discipline at the breakdown. A slow start but they turned it on when they had to. However they are going to have to start better against the likes of NZ, ZA, Australia. There again, in the World Cup they have a habit of playing out of their skins. Yes, please bring on Scotland....XD.*and maybe start with Toby Flood and bring on Wilko later....*
Dazaster
Wilko had a stinker with his kicking Too true, maybe he's still on northern hemisphere time (9am on a Saturday is too early to be kicking anything). Plus it takes time to adjust to playing upside down :teehee:
SabarelTatheth
England v Argentina was very scrappy game. I'm sure hoping England improve quickly. Was very disappointed with the Austraila v Italy game early this morning. USA v Ireland however was a fantastic game with some great playing from both teams. I'm English so of course I'll be rooting for England but I think South Africa have the form, power, experience and winning record that they will go top again this time round.
