danaw167
Today, my Fo3 launcher stopped acknowledging any changes that I make to the esp's that I have checked. I will check some mods I have installed in data files, click ok, and start the game, and the content will not be loaded. If I click on data files again instead of playing, the changes that I have made will not be there. If I make changes to the data files and then try to exit the launcher, the program will stop responding. If I uncheck an esp that I had checked before today and try to play the game, the mod will still be loaded, and the data files screen will not recognize that I unchecked it when I go back to the data files screen after clicking ok. I have been modding my game for the past three months without any problems, and could use some help. Note: Before anyone so much as THINKS of MENTIONING FOMM, that thing has also completely failed. If I try to make any changes to my activated mods in there, all it will do is tell me that "something bad has happened" and ignore the change I have attempted to make. I don't want any help with or solutions for FOMM, I have no intention of ever using that thing for modding Fo3.

Beside, I highly doubt that this is a load order problem, the game works just fine with the mods I have installed, the thing is that it is suddenly not letting me change the mods I have activated, whether it be activating new ones or deactivating old ones. Oh, and that link is rather vague; However, the first thing I checked was the permissions, and they are the same as when I first installed the game. danaw167
Update: I know this is the Fo3 forum, but FoNV is also having the same problem.

But, how do I install the Wrye Brash (or Wrye Flash, I'm trying to do FoNV right now, since it's having the exact same problem)? It has no install instructions. If you want to make (simple) edits to your mods, you should try FO3Edit Your should also update FoMM to the latest version. Can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fomm/files/Keep in mind that you should not install FoMM to the Fallout 3 folder. By the way: To be perfectly honest I also think you severely underestimate the importance of having a proper load order. Can mean the difference between a highly unstable game and a highly stable game, you know. But you'll find that out for yourself as soon as you start installing more mods. Well, I only really tried using FOMM because I saw another forum that recommended I try it to fix this kind of problem, and, to be honest, it doesn't seem to be anything load order-related; I literally cannot activate the esp/m's for any mods that were unactivated before today, or that I installed today, or deactivate the ones I had active before today. I'm not trying to edit any of them. I am having the problem with both Fo3 and FoNV; I just thought I would put the crashdump file there to see if anybody could see what the problem was from looking at it. Edit: Then where should I install FOMM? Because I gathered from the instructions that that was where I needed to put it, and it only actually started working (and I use that term loosely given the circumstances) once I put it there.
