I know this doesn't really belong in the FO3 section but i didn't really know where to put it... :L

I also know that it's VERY early to be asking this sort of question but i'm just interested in what the rest of you guys (and gals) think.

Will Besthesda make the next Fallout game??

Personally I hope they do, Fallout 3 was my favorite game ever and New Vegas was a massive disappointment... so what do you think??

Yes New vegas is just a funny extra to wait the real next episode... it's somewhere between real game and big DLC, the story does not contain real revelations about fallout world and it use the fo3 engine and a lot of ingame object are from fo3, so it'is not a real complete game (in my opinion). I've never been a real fan of Fallout 1&2 they were good games but not so legendary to me, Fallout3 was a reborn of the serie to me makin it as epic as oblivion, i hope they will continue this way.

What reveletions contain new vegas ?????

Nothing more than in Fo3.... the NCR is boring they look like an old 20th century army, i hope not to see them anymore so i don't need any revelation on them.

The legion is down on all my saves in NV, they diserve it cause they are weak and ridiculously medieval like the kahns.

In Fo3 ?

You learn what the super mutants are and where they come from, you learn who is in deed the real boss of the enclave, you learn a lot about the BOS there policy etc, you learn a lot about Vaultec too

What Marcus got up to after leaving the company of the Chosen One.

How Tandi finished out her presidency.

How the NCR developed after their founding in Fallout 1 and their establishment in Fallout 2.

How Caesar is an ex-Follower of the Apocalypse (which were present in the earlier games) who is ego-maniacal.

Mister House is living in an amazing space-age tube.

The families on the Vegas strip used to be warring tribes.

The Great Khans have forged something of a society despite having the s*** kicked out of them in Fallout 1 and 2.

Nightkin deal with debilitating mental illness from use of stealthboys. Nightkin first appeared in Fallout 1.

Cass is the daughter of Cassidy, a Fallout 2 companion.

If you have Dead Money, you can see what happens to Elijah after Helios One.

That's just off the top off my head. I could actually sit down and think about it and cite dozens of examples.

In Fo3 ?

Not really. First, they aren't proper super-mutants like the ones from Fallout 1 and 2 as they all tend to be stupid, hostile brutes - west coast mutants may be dumb, but they have motivations. Also, they don't tell you where they come from or why. How was the first generation formed, and why is their motivation to make more mutants? How are Fallout 3 mutants supplied? Who leads them? Where exactly in the vault are their vats? They're dumb as hell, so who organizes them and directs them in gathering people to dip? Why haven't they annihilated Little Lamplight? Why are the Brotherhood of Steel killing them for the sake of killing them?

The Fallout 3 supermutant story arc has plotholes big enough to drive a MAC truck through. They exist for no reason than other Bethesda couldn't think of a good replacement for orcs in what is essentially Oblivion with guns.

you learn who is in deed the real boss of the enclave

I saw that plot twist coming from a mile away.

you learn a lot about the BOS there policy etc,

No, you learn about Elder Lyons betraying everything the Brotherhood stands for. You want to learn about how the Brotherhood actually operates, you'd be better off playing New Vegas.

Ok there are lots of stuffs about fallout 1&2 Characters....

I played New vegas several times.

I said it it's time to turn fallout 1 or 2 page for good, the factions from these games haven't convince me, this is why i like Fo3 more than NV, the NCR is too contemporary, it does not interest me, they look like G.I's the game take place more than 200 years after the nuclear war, so guys dressed pretty much like world war 2 soldiers seems unrealistic to me.

and this is worst about Kahns or legion wich are medieval style.

It's true that originaly i was not mad about fallout 1&2 moods, and i think Bethesda got it right with there vision of a post apocaliptic world more than Black isle.

Sounds like you didn't pay much attention if that's the case.

Fallout has always been about deep stories told well. Fallout 3 lacks that, and the locations lack depth or realism - the first two Fallouts and New Vegas present functioning worlds where people are picking up the pieces, not always for the better, while Fallout 3 is more of a post-apocalyptic amusement park.

all fallout new vegas stories are pretty quick writed and uninstersting to me, that little skirmish for the control of a Dam or who'sgonna be the boss of new-vegas it'sd clearly not deep at all, meanwhile 6fallout 3 is about wich way are we gonna choose to rebuilt the world are we gonna do same mistakes as in the past.

I think you didn't undertood what fallout 3 was about, it story is way deeper than fallout NV 's little factions wars.
