Kamus
Hello again, Nexus Forums. Early this year, I've tried for weeks to get my Oblivion to work with mods. I had played the game before, but on its vanilla settings. It grew a bit boring after a while, since the combat isn't that god, and the background is just dull. So I tried mods. After, if I'm not mistaken, three weeks of testing, I couldn't get the mods I wanted to work. I tried everything. I might have re-installed Oblivion more times than I've installed games this whole year. Then I gave up. Three months later, the very same thing happened. And three months after that. Even so, I cannot for the hell out of me get that damned thing to work with mods. I tried everything. Wrye Bash, BOSS, manually aligning the load order. All was nigh useless. So I ask for your help, dear helpers. Would it be possible for one of you to upload a fully working modded Oblivion? I was trying to get OOO and Deadly Reflex to work, coupled with some visual enhancing mods. If any of you has used, or still uses those settings, and are willing to help, could you do this big favor for me? I really want to play this game a lot more before Skyrim comes up. Thank in advance, Kamus.
micalov
Firstly a fully modded oblivion would be around 15 gig or more, which is a huge task to upload, secondly, they cannot anyway because it is piracy and breaks copyright to upload the oblivion install. Really? Damn, that's a lot. I hadn't considered the piracy rule, though I do own the game. It's just so damn frustrating.
HeyYou
Yeah, mods can be like that..... Best bet is to just add a couple at a time, and then verify the game still works.... If you want FCOM, there are a couple very good guides out there in the world for that.... just follow the guide EXACTLY.....
luxwing0go
There's a torrent of a FCOM Superpack with easy install instructions. That's probably the closest thing you'll get to a download of a fully modded Oblivion - modding just takes patience.

Did everything they asked me to, but couldn't get it working with the other mods.
razorpony
Where did you install oblivion? Do you use win 7 or vista? Sometimes the program files directory has problems with mods due to the UAC kicking in. Basically Windows sees a mod trying to change something in your game and blocks it, thinking it's malware. Best solution is to install to C:\Bethsoft\Oblivion or something similar. Next, do you use archive invalidation invalidated? If not, I'd recommend that, also. Kamus
Windows 7. Was installed in something akin to that. Yes, used it.
Keirgarth
which version of oblivion are you using? Is it the GOTY edition, the Steam edition or the boxed normal edition? I know that the steam edition has issues with mods and requires that the BSA files have their last modified dates changed to older than the mods. There is information on this, but I am not sure where on the site it is.
