Which Pre Build Pc should I choose.

Hell, I am going to buy a pre built gaming pc for Skyrim and I was wondering which pre build gaming pc is best to run Skyrim on the absolute max settings for around 1300 US dollars.

Check out newegg.com .. and don't buy a dell for christ sakes xD .. biggest ripoff out there aside from apple .. Really any PC that is the equivalent of a 360 will work .. duo core,gt220,1gigRAM is about equal to a 360 so go for a quad core or better, gtx550 or better, 4gigs or RAM or better if your wnting to max it out .. and finally .. if your spending that kinda money on a PC your better off preparing for next gen .. tesselation will be a big feature in future game and will be built into the LOD system .. so you want an Nvidia card since AMD doesn't handle tesselation as well yet .. not bashing AMD .. just saying at this time AMD is a bad choice if your prepping for next gen .. quad core 3ghz or better .. and a gtx 460/560 or higher with at least 1 gig video ram and 4-8 gigs system RAM... hope that helps .. also .. this post really should be in the "can I run it" thread and not it's own thread.

impossible to compare, the option 2 is just defaulted to the 679$ box. Though just add a 570GTX to that base unit,that and the i5 2500k and the 8GB of ram will pretty much be the s***. Add some 3rd party cooling and the 2500k can be overclocked quite a bit. Plenty of power for years to come.

 

 

tbh I wouldn't bother with an i7 if you are buying now. It doesn't do anything for gaming. And will be superseded with ivy bridge cpus, and probably other future cpus before an i5 2550k will find a game that can come near testing it. Xo just use that, and in how ever many years games make a large leap, think about upgrading then.

 

So when ever the next console generation comes out, probably 2 years, not much is going to be hassling an overclocked i5 2500k. and what more do you want than a 570? Again it has hardware that can handle things games aren't even utilising.

Well it is made by dell, but the base aurora will do what you want, I would upgrade the psu to the 875 though.

Newegg is THE BEST place that I know of to buy electronics, especially computer stuff. I'd also recommend you check out ASUS and Lenovo, and even a lot of Acer brands are decent!

W2drs21, dwellufool brings up a very good point. You can have an amazing pc built FOR you, just choose individual parts (and we can help you) and buy them all off, say, Newegg...get them in the mail in a few days (WAY shorter than buying a pc from Dell apparently), then go to a pc store/repair store and have them build it for you.

 

THAT would be a monster pc. :)

Don't buy a pre-built PC. Without even going into the added price (which actually isn't as bad as some people make it out to be), they are extremely unreliable. I had a couple pre-builts before I learned how to build my own computer, and they both didn't run games as well as they should have for the components inside them. Get someone to build one for you, it will most likely be cheaper than a pre-built, and it will probably get better performance too.
