Heartcloud
I think I accidentally pressed something, now my camera will snap back to the center whenever I try to move it. This also causes my player to strafe instead of moving left/right, because the character now always moves "forward" with my mouse the only method of controlling the direction (before I used left/right keys to control direction). Does anyone know how to reset the camera mode back to normal? I don't think it was a console command, must be some shortcut I accidentally pressed. luxwing0go
Have you tried pressing R or the center mouse wheel and see if that fixes it?
Heartcloud
Yes I tried pretty much all keys now. Vanity camera, free camera, every single key on the keyboard basically. I don't have any camera mods installed, that I'm 100% sure. What I haven't tried are combinations of keys (if there are any in oblivion), since there's practically hundreds of different combinations. This happened once before, but corrected itself after a few days and I have absolutely no idea how it happened or corrected itself. This time I do remember it happened right after I deleted some mods (some files in data\mesh and data\texture, so it shouldn't have tampered system files) and installed some new ones, but they're all outfits (R18PN, lady fantasy, and ambassador of darkness I think). I tried disabling the .esp of all the new .esp's and it didn't fix the problem either. Edited September 12, 2011 by Heartcloud
pleezefragme
The only console command I know that effects the camera is "tfc". Perhaps you entered it by accident instead of "tcl" or something like that? Does the problem also appear with new charakters? You could also try to delete your oblivion.ini. The game creates a new one when you open the game next time.
Heartcloud
Yup the problem occurs in pretty much all situations, with/without OBSE, new/old character, with/without all mods. I tried deleting oblivion.ini and forcing it to create a new one, didn't work either... it must be that the vanilla game camera is supposed to be like this, but some mod I installed somehow edited the camera and made it better, but something I did accidentally reverted it back to vanilla camera. :wallbash:If anyone has any clue which mods change the camera but without telling you (I'm 100% sure I never downloaded any camera mod) please tell me. ziitch
Something's messed up either your first-person or third-person skeleton. Do you use Deadly Reflex or UVII? You can also manually revert to the old skeleton. Go to Meshes/characters/_1stperson/skeleton.nif and delete it.
Heartcloud
Tried deleting skeletons and it didn't work still. I have always used vipcxj's skeleton, I tried to overwrite with a freshly downloaded copy of vipcxj's high heels mod but still didn't work. I don't use deadly reflex. What's UVII?
