Actioncookie
When i launch Oblivion launcher it crashes saying unable to detect master file. When i launch TES construction set and try to load data it doesnt detect anything( the data screen is absolutely empty). I recently reinstalled OBMM and i think the problem might be that after i did, it made all of my construction set files(esp-esm) change into Oblivion master data file or oblivion plugin file(esp)* the icon changes into the construction set icon* and when i click on it it goes to TES construction. All of data files show up on OBMM, but if i try to launch the game it crashes in loading screen. Is there anything i can do to change the file or am i screwed? *note* **sorry for the crap grammar... heres a screenshot .. http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff495/Orgasmic_Spock/th_1-1.jpg Edited September 13, 2011 by Actioncookie

Actioncookie
hmmm...did you try to move your overall oblivion directory to a different area on your computer? No i did not. Its all still located in my C: I run Windows 7 Home edition. i have over 160 mods installed and all of them work fine Also this just happen today. Everything was working fine yesterday until i reinstalled OBMM and it changed all my esp(s), esm(s)
Keirgarth
OBMM would have only changed the file association, not the actual files. This should not be causing any issues as it is designed to only tell windows what program to open the file with by default when you double click on it. This is why the icon changed to that of the CS. It probably would not hurt to reinstall OBMM as well as OBSE to make sure nothing went wrong during the install.

Thank you.I got the files to finally show up on the launcher after i unistalled-reinstalled TESCS, but its now saying most of the data files are invalid including the Oblivion.esm. -sigh- i guess i'll have to re-install everything.. Fonger
hmmm...did you try to move your overall oblivion directory to a different area on your computer? No i did not. Its all still located in my C: yes your game is on your c drive but it is also in the UAC controlled directory of that drive and this is simply another UAC issue caused by installing a game designed for Win XP into the default location on Win 7/Vista since you are doing a re-install completely uninstall first then install someplace else

Keirgarth
So Actioncookie, how did you end up fixing it? I am sure someone else might run into this and find your information helpful.
Actioncookie
So Actioncookie, how did you end up fixing it? I am sure someone else might run into this and find your information helpful.it turned out there were many errors....but didn't have to re-install the game( i didn't look thoroughly)1)i re-installed obse+obmm and Construction set. After that i had to overwrite some of my esps(luckily i keep them saved on a disk)2)Cleaned my registry. reboot3)removed UAC(since i have Windows 7) rebooted cpu and then i updated everything on wrye bash and obmm. i also had other minor problem with another mod but that is fixed now after making an updated archiveinvalidation... It took forever(very very frustrating) but it was worth it. I recommend anyone with major mod or not back up their files including save. it can save a lot of time( investing in external hard-drive, or using disks...)
