GrindedStone
http://i895.photobucket.com/albums/ac156/grindedstone/YEEHAW/WENDY.jpg 5 hours so far. Still needs straps on the chest plate.I'm good enough to tell that the items are "Stuck on" But not good enough to have learned how to bake yet. This would be a great mesh to learn how on, but I'm worn out. Quetzlsacatanango
Bake what? Normals? Why would you? Those are vanilla meshes, it is already done.
GrindedStone
I thought you could bake defuse too. Like the shirt, it's white, things put on top of it would be darker around the item placed on top of it.It's shading I guess. I don't really know how to do either. Ha that armor is so stupid! ha ha ha
Ghogiel
Yeah you can bake other maps besides normals. Ambient occlusion map is the one you are thinking about.
dazzerfong
You really don't need to make an occlusion map via Blender: most of the time, the textures are good enough to forego it. However, if you really are peeved about it, here's how you bake an occlusion map: 1. Set up Ambient Occlusion (Blender.net tutorial, not very hard).2. Select your object you want 'baked'.3. On the Bake Menu in Object Mode, choose Ambient Occlusion in the drop-down near there.(Optional) set the materials to be the same (it's one of the boxes, forgot which one).4. Set up lights (sun lights are the best here, hemi-sun's are good too).5. Click on 'Bake', wait, export image.
GrindedStone
Well the straps don't darken the skin on the arms. Why should the side bags darken the shirt? You see it in Vanilla textures, like the vault security. There is a radio CB thingy stuck on to the vest, but if you remove it, under that is black on the defuse, I guess simulating shading that just pokes out of the edge. I guess you could draw it in a little at a time or make it a one piece shape, an I thought maybe bake it in. It might be maya that did that, after all it was Bethesda. I guess I asked the wrong question.
