Help Me Out!

Recommended Posts

yea pretty much.

do you have a monitor or anything already? cause those can be $100-$200 by themselves lol

but other then that, for $900 you can build yourself a pretty stable PC that can handle games no problem. (just not super uber max settings, but at medium-high settings sure)

do you have anything else like a Case?

are we building from the ground up like a new mobo, ram, cpu, etc?

and i know how you feel lol. everything ill tell you i basically learned from the ppl here through A LOT of questions lol. :)

but ya from the ground up here is a solid build for your price range:

Case:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119197

Mobo:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131754

CPU:

RAM:

PSU:

GPU:

CD/DVD:

HDD:

or

two hard drives to choose from because the first one only has 500gb which for some isnt much, and its a little more expensive, but its also faster then the other hard drive. and the second one cause its a 2tb hdd, and cheaper. so your choice there.

also some things to consider. if you want to go with AMD, like i listed, they have a new CPU coming out, reportedly this year. itll cost the same as the one i listed, but be better, so if your in no rush to buy it, wait a little but and that will be it, called bulldozer.

if your into Intel, their ivy bridge and socket 2011 should be coming out sometime at the beginning of next year.

lastly, Nvidia (and im assuming ATI/AMD) are supposed to be coming out with a new line of Graphics cards with new architecture and whatnot sometime next year, so thats something to think about too.

the items i listed are around $900US. obviously you can go cheaper (or more expensive) on any of those items. :)

if you are up to building your own --- read the post above slowly and carefully

if you are nervous -- you can get a rather decent machine from a semi-custom shop like

ibuypower.com

just pay attention to the video card -- its the major requirement for gaming - most of the rest of the system can coast, but again -> careful picks can perk up the system

Hey thanks guys I really appreciate the help! Also the second link does not show up as anything. I mean I could go a little bit higher on the graphics card as long as this could get me through yhe rest of this generation and the start of the next with minimum upgrades I will be fine with it.

edited the second link for you. my bad.

the 560 will deff get you through. it is one of the better GPUs out right now. and you could always go SLI if you wanted to in the future.
