Razor444
So I did not understand some things and things connected with Skyrim Oblivion, then the main character is called Esbren (and is still the ultimate warrior of the blades) Dragon Born knowing that they were, that in their veins flows the blood of the dragon .But if we use a Dragon Esbren is Born, because we can use type Imperial, Breton, High Elf, etc. ...?That is, if they say that our character is Esbren, why use other races?Perhaps because the blades were not only Imperial Guardierosse or Breton, but also other races like the High Elf, etc. .. Dunmer? So for example, an elf could be a Supreme Dragon Born and be part of the fencers?I have read that the blades are only Imperial is true?Explain these things and say your theories / opinions.Sorry if I'm wrong section. ub3rman123
Esbern is an NPC. Like Caius Cosades from Morrowind. He's not the PC. And the Blades are Imperial, Redguard, and Breton as far as I know. They allow other races to join, but the soldiers in Oblivon are only those three. David Brasher
Jauffre is a Breton. Renote is a Breton. Baurus is a Redguard. The Blades are not all Imperials. I imagine that the Blades is open to any trustworthy and qualified person. In Morrowind, there were a lot of Orcs in the Imperial Legion.
ub3rman123
They also had a couple of Khajiiti/dunmer agents in Morrowind. Caldera I think. They weren't armor wearing card carrying Blades, but they were on the payroll.

Razor444
In fact I did not understand the coming together of the races in the Blades, I just thought they were Imperial, Breton and Redguard.
DrakeTheDragon
I played Morrowind as an Argonian and joined their ranks. If there was a race-requirement, I'm sure they wouldn't have let me in.
Razor444
Yes, but I did not understand how you can, for example, a High Elf to be dragonborn? That is, I understand that the blades accept all races to help the empire, but how can a high elf, or argon and other races to be dragonborn?I know that the only imperial dragonborn? am I right? Naktis
Dragonborn as it is written in Skyrim Wiki (and I think I heard Todd Howard say the same thing in some interview) is someone who has been born with the soul of a dragon. So the race is not important I guess. And something more from Skyrim Wiki which should probably cover this whole race thing. In the Elder Scrolls universe, the term Dragonborn is used to refer to the "descendants" of Emperor Tiber Septim, founder of the Septim Dynasty of Tamriel. Most of past Dragonborn have been of the Imperial race; however, Dragonborn can be of any race, as the abilities and title are given by the Nine Divines to favored subjects.
