LCRO775
no. sorry, i should have clarified when i meantioned it. AMD CPUs need to go with an AMD motherboard (it will say AM3 socket type) so if you wanted to save money and go with AMD (their CPUs and motherboards are cheaper then intel) then youd need a different motherboard. and that just means it can hold up to 32gbs of RAM. your fine just putting in you 8gb lol, most ppl only ever use 8gb.LOL MAN can you imagine the look on my face looking that price up for 32gb's LOL. Picture me chewing on tostito chips and then slowly stop chewing mid way after seeing the price.
hoofhearted4
lol yea. there will be a day someday where 32gb is the required amount, the norm. though by then they will prolly have 8 or 16gb sticks.

I said that when my decade old dell cost me 1k and now is worth about mmmmm 200 bucks lol. Also I have noticed good brand name PSU's have higher prices with lower wattage. I think I should get atleast 650w. Though A coolermaster with 400w starts at 64 bucks. Do you think I could get away with a half priced PSU with 600w to 700w that has good reviews? Is it really going to be a big deal?
hoofhearted4
you should expect between $80-100 for a PSU. that might be a little high, but its worth it in the end. 600W will be more then enough (which is what you want, for expansion in the future) but there are a bunch of things that determine price. Wattage being a big one, Brand name, if its 80 plus certified, and what lvl, if its modular, etc. a good Raidmax 650W 80plus Bronze Modular PSU is gunna be at the higher price range, but worth it imo
Illiad86
Modulars are nice. They have gotten pretty cheap now too. My boyfriend's 550W modular PSU was $125 at the time he got it. I've been seeing modulars for $80 now that are higher wattage and a good brand.
vastias
I would suggest looking at Digital Storm. I have one of their laptops and it runs everything I've played at max settings (even FNV and Dragon Age 2) It cost me roughly $2500, but it has a 7200rpm i7 intel quad core processor with 8gbs of ram and 1tb of memory with the latest nvidia graphics card available (cant think of the name at the moment). Regardless though all of their systems are up to date and custom built for gaming. I would suggest grabbing something with at least 4gbs of ram and at least 350gbs of memory and a processor of at least 2.6ghz. The Laptops are here. The Desktops are here.
