Plus, the cities were real places I do believe. Could be wrong though.
minngarm
EDIT: checking on a map to pinpoint this lol http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=Uyw&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=google+map+ashton+us&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=3811l9727l0l9781l33l15l1l3l3l0l268l1479l2.5.2l14l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&biw=1035&bih=899&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl Interesting, ashton isnt a town? It makes perfect sense though, as he said there was no road there until YOU the courier tred packages acrossed the sand to the divide thus forging the way that would have become the resupply line for the ncr. Sepherose
"Something bad happened near Death Valley at a place called The Divide..."-Joshua Graham *cough* Near Death Valley, it's not actually there, otherwise he would have said "in Death Valley". @minngarm: I said they were real places, thing is though NCR doesn't have the capability or the need to create highways like the ones sitting in The Divide. marharth
Well the divide obviously was prewar as well... The NCR couldn't possibly build up those buildings and military bases. It seems obvious the divide was mainly enclave/military for a while. Considering there was long a travel distance from the Mojave to the divide, they were clearly quite close and connected. Looking at google maps, I am going to try to find the best possible location it could be starting from goodsprings. EDIT: I found the exact location, it appears to be a part of death valley, or rather nearby death valley. It does not have a official name, so its most likely part of death valley. This is the location of the IRL divide. As you can see, just left to good springs.http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/4995/screenhunter02oct041133.gif This is the ingame divide, N5 being goodsprings.http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/649/screenhunter03oct041134.gif Edited October 4, 2011 by marharth
minngarm
Yea saw that earlier as well, when i looked into town/city historys in the area it didnt appear that any of them were built up more than 4 stories so passed on it. HOwever as its a alternate timeline it could be that they were infact built up, or that entire cities and roads were built that dont exist IRL.
