That is why when your behind them quickly switch to knife and then attack while holding down the mouse button you get a great cinematic event where you knife the fella.

its actually the R2 button for me ;) lol

I tried the beta and didn't enjoy it at all. After about 1 hour I removed both BF3 and Origin. I dislike the origin site, launching through the internet was a pain (but I suppose that is just beta), the game was mostly camping. I thought it could be ok, but playing the beta saved me some money  . I suppose because I don't like call of duty this game doesn't appeal to me as there isn't that great of a differenc, but to people who like those games BF3 may be the next best thing since sliced bread. I don't know, just not my cup of tea, as no FPS has matched the story mode or intensity of Soldier of Fortune 2 yet ). Graphics were nice though  .

i cancelled my preorder, but only cause my friend is going to buy it for me as a late b-day present (i bought him gears 3...cept im getting BF3 for Ps3), ill miss out on some pre order DLC, but that costs $10, as opposed to $60...there was a lot of camping (though if you read this thread, thats argued) because it was Rush. its why i dont like Rush.

even though ill be getting this shortly, i wont be playing it any time soon, could be another month. im still playing Dark Souls (Ps3) and i cant play two games at once. :P

story wise, my favorite fps is Metal of Honor (the recent one)...my experience with FPSs dont go very far, but as far as modern FPSs go, that one by far has the best story. played through twice just because i liked it so much (and im talking about modern war FPSs, not games like Fallout, Resistance, Borderlands, etc)

I find that people complaining about camping M-Com stations is a bit silly. I can understand people complaining if the defending team has 5 snipers a mile away with their sites trained on the M-Com, but not if they're sitting around their station. You're not going to get people in a real war jump up and yell 'hey you're camping our objective :<', so I see it as a valid tactic. Hell, what are you supposed to do, run away from your M-Com when the enemy tries to get as close to it as possible?

I've yet to play BF3, but in BC2 I try and stay reasonably close to my M-Com to keep enemies away, and 8 times out of 10 I get killed anyway. It's all down to the skill of the attacking team. Hell, you can blow the building down around me, why are you complaining?

On topic, though, I hope BC2's multiplayer doesn't die down entirely once BF3 releases. I'm not planning on getting BF3 until it goes for at least 50% off, and I doubt my internet connection can handle it anyway. I rarely get pings below 150 on BC2, so I don't want to know what BF3 is going to do to my connection.

Edit: I also just have to say, while I enjoy Conquest, I prefer rush. I find games are much more frantic and there's nothing quite as satisfying as destroying an M-Com when you were down to your last three tickets.

Well I have been imformed that BC2 did see a patch not long ago that fixed some of the lag issues, on top of that BC2 community will likely see a major die off with BF3 as all of the Battlefield vets from the previous games will be moving over to Battlefield 3. As for Conquest in BF3 it is set up much like the BF2 style with most of the objectives being realitivily spread apart and not in one big line. Also DICE listened to the players about Rush, M-coms can only be destroyed by arming them, M-coms will no longer exploded if there is someone trying to disarm them (they will exploded the moment there is no one holding down the E button by the M-com), and hitting zero Tickets when an M-com is armed doesn't mean instant loss infact the game will either A end when the M-com explodes or you get reinforcement tickets once it goes off and then you can move to the next stage. As for getting to $39.99 that isn't likely to happen till Black Friday/Cyber Monday at the earliest.

@Hoofhearted Nice to hear someone else Enjoyed the new MOH game. The reason the Story seemed so good, and so realistic is because it is very very very closely based on the actually events of Operation Andaconda.

Not in the beta it didnt. It wouldnt go off in your face, and the game wouldnt end while the bomb is ticking, but when it blew up the attackers would lose. Also, the reinforcement tickets came when you got the move up order, not when the bomb explodes.

All of which are hopefully fixed by now, but dont uncross your fingers yet.
