Diverse Dragons

Something I longed for in Oblivion was dragons, well it looks like I will finally get some of what I wanted from Skyrim. With dragons making their appearance I might get the rest of what I wanted as well with mods! I am not a modder although I might try to learn with skyrim I would ask that some of the more experienced modders take a look at this one. Depending on the dragons that are in the game, there are a few I would like to see if they don't make it in.

-I have no idea if we'll fight Alduin how big or nasty it could be but I would like to see a CRD (Colossal Red Dragon) that will put the toughest character to the test.

-I would like to see Dracoliches of various sizes (could be a quest to destroy the phylactery?)

-Skeletal Dragons

-Zombie Dragons

-Black dragons/or death dragons of various sizes.

-Pretty much any dragon from the OGL would make me happy. You could keep the appearance that D&D set or it could be rewritten to match skyrim lore (I mean come on "Throat of the world?")

-They could be totally made up dragons too!

-I would like these Dragons to possibly carry special treasure, weapons, ingredients, or money?

-Other Ideas-

-They could have new shouts/breath weapons.

-Really powerful dragons guarding a treasure hoard.

-Dragon Graveyard

Any contributions or suggestions would be appreciated! Like I said we'll have to see what's in the game first.

Thanks in Advance!

I believe what are you requesting is certainly doable.

Perhaps the skeleton dragon might be hard, but I would imagine re-texturing dragons wouldn't be all that difficult, it would certainly take a lot of work to get it right, and I think each type of dragon might have to be a mod in itself...

I thought the skeleton dragon would be the hardest as well.

The Dragons don't have to have four legs. I was using the pics as examples, if it would get to tricky the original dragon model should work no problem(Just change size/appearance). It would also match the other dragons better that way.

When the dragon dies in-game it turns into a skeleton so the skeleton model for vanilla dragon is there already, I assume it´s easy even for me or not to make a skeleton dragon mod.

That's right I totally forgot about that! Good Thinking!

But not enjoy so early.

Death of the Dragon is completely animated - at the end shown a "pose" and burns. The dragon skeleton itself may be a static object.

It would be nice if every "kind" of dragons had a different coloring. Basic color should be the same, but some details should by different.

So, experienced dragonslayer would know, what kind of dragon is his enemy.

Different models will be more challenging task. But some of those horns, spikes, and other "decorations" could make do...

they don't have four legs because they are wyrven, not true western dragons

I imagine a variety of dragons would be added by whatever will be Skyrim's equivalent of Martigen's Monster Mod. In any case, I support this idea - as fun as fighting dragons may turn out to be, if they're not varied enough, it's going to get old after one or two playthroughs.
