I have a build in mind for a character who's good at both sneaky assassinations and combat. I have these skills listed:

Archery

One-handed

Lockpicking

Sneak

Light Armor

Alchemy

Enchanting

However, I really REALLY want to use smithing as well. But I'm afraid I'll spread myself too thin. I feel like seven skills is sort of pushing it already. With the level cap at 50, I'll be getting an average of 6 perks per skill. I can't imagine I'd need lockpicking perks too much and, if I were to add smithing, I would only give it one or two perks. I think I'd probably only need maybe half of the perks that sneak provides. I definitely plan on getting most of the perks for all the other skills. What do you guys suggest?

What kind of assassin smiths his own stuff? Concentrate on getting your fighting skills up and pay an NPC to do the smithing work.

Is that even an option? Can you pay smiths to upgrade your weapons and armor? Or is that restricted to people who have smithing as a skill?

Can you switch between your perks anytime you want? Even between skills? Let's say you want to switch one of your archery perks to a one-handed perk, would that work? Or is it, once you've chosen there's no going back? Edited by hejpadig

I highly doubt you can.
