Gopher
I was just thinking that if they built the game worlds for FO1 and 2, and put the quests and dialogue in completely unchanged so it was literally the same story but on the Fallout New Vegas engine, would you buy it? I know I would :) And I figure seeing as they dont need to spend money/time on the story and quests, it would just be a matter of cranking out the worldspace, and porting the quests in. Surely that would be a lot less effort than a whole new game. Am I nuts?
Bdthemag
I dunno, I wouldn't really find it that entertaining to follow the same story and go to the same places I did in FO1 and FO2. I'd prefer an entirely new place to go to.
Gopher
Probably my age then. Old men like to relive old stories over and over :) I am actually trying to find my old copy of FO1 and install it to do another playthrough, which is why I suddenly came up with this idea. Shame we would be breaking the law if we did it ourselves and uploaded it.
Shantih
I'd rather play the original game myself. Nostalgia and everything. Make sure you grab the higher resolution mod for the old Fallout it will make the game look much better on widescreen/bigger monitors. Check out the mod database section at NMA.

frakle
I'd play it to experience the game again in a fps style gameplay. It'd be like playing a whole new game.
minngarm
I think theres a FO3 or FONV mod in the works to do just that already. Not sure where the post is ill see if I can find it later. Anyways I think its a great idea, it would introduce newer fans of FO to the original game areas, companions, storylines, and all that.
Tranquillus
I'd buy it. Though did the old Fallout games have voice acting?
MojaveMike
Why bother? All the Fallout 3 fanboys would hate it anyways. "hurr wuts dis? water chip ansd enclave dis is just ripping off fo3"
Shantih
I'd buy it. Though did the old Fallout games have voice acting? Actually some characters had talking heads and voices. Pretty awesome voice acting by the way, probably some of the best there is: Ron Perlman, David Warner, Richard Dean Anderson, Clancy Brown, Michael Dorn, Dwight Schultz, Richard Moll, CCH Pounder, Pamela Adlon, Tony Shalhoub... Talk about an all star cast.
