Excoter Posted December 16, 2017 Share Posted December 16, 2017 (edited) EDITED: Im trying to make settlement working just outside of the DC gate (cell: DiamondCityExt) and I made new mod from scratch following guide by OP, I cannot get settlement to work at all..Im told that cell names must be changed, but I see lot of settlement mods where this is not the case. I made 3 separate settlement mods following this guide: https://stuyk.com/fallout-4-creating-a-new-settlement-location/ One of them is whole interior of DC and it works perfectly without any cell naming, and I was able to make this DC Ext settlement almost working following that guide. I tried to fix bugs with DC Ext settlement following posted guide here, but something keeps going wrong.. I understand that chance for mistakes is very high, all guides made for subject are confusing for beginner like me. Also I see multiple differences between 3 guides I have been following... Im not giving up with my goal, and I would like to ask from you experts. Where to look for mistake when workbench works but... 1. I cannot get settlers to come with recruitment radio. (can spawn with cheat terminal)2. Settlement management mods claims that settlement is not valid.3. Settlers wont take any work orders.4. I cannot build caravan trade post (it's unlocked from quest). Excoter Posted December 19, 2017 Share Posted December 19, 2017 (edited) I was finally able to get settlement just outside of the DC to work, even with massive sandbox build area. I only have one minor glitch what Im trying to figure out, I know its minos but it is buggin hell out of me... In pip-boys map screen, when hoverin cursor over the settlement it wont show pop and happiness. Everything else works totally fine, even with settlers, routes etc... I made 3 separate settlement mods one after another with similar setting and keywords, and therefore I just can't understand why this one is buggin?... I double checked everything. I did use wilderness cell (I rename it) next to Diamoncity Ext 03 cell, all XMarkers, MapMarker and workbench was placed in that cell.. except OutOfSight marker what I moved outside of the trigger area... R054P4RK5 Posted September 19, 2019 Share Posted September 19, 2019 (edited) Hi BlahBlahDEEBlah- sorry for necroing this thread, but I've been using it as one of a few references to make a custom settlement. I notices you said that "with a few adjustments" you can make it work for an existing location. I've made Bradberton in Nuka World into a 99% functioning settlement- the only problem is the Pipboy map icon doesn't show settler population or happiness, nor does it show supply lines leading to or from the settlement. Settlers, Provisioners and happiness all work 100% as intended, though. Is this something you've come across before? Do you know what adjustments I might need to make? The map marker is linked to the center ref, as is the location itself. And the center is linked to the workshop. I can't for the life of me get it to show up properly, and it's driving me crazy.
