JackTrenton
I'm a PS4 player. I don't know why they put this arbitrary limit on mods for consoles. How many mods can fit in 2 GB on average? Don't say I should have bought the PC version. I couldn't get it on PC because mine isn't up to specs. Edited May 28, 2016 by JackTrenton
Deleted3507349User
That's impossible to answer. It all depends on the size of the mods. Some mods will go over that all by themselves. All you can do is pay attention to the size of the mods you want to install.
Reneer
Plus in all likelihood that 2GB limit is imposed by Microsoft and not Bethesda. So Sony / PS4 could easily have a limit greater than 2GB, or no limit at all.
JackTrenton
I hadn't considered that point. Hopefully it won't apply to PS4. It would be kind of funny after they spent all this time hyping XB1 as getting everything first, only to find out XB1 got the shaft at the end. Well, that 2GB limit could just as easily be changed, I imagine.
Deleted3507349User
The limit probably makes sense, though. Consoles can't be upgraded with larger hard drives, can they?

ddavies10693
2 GB is very large for probably 95% of all mods that have been released for FO4 thus far. You shouldn't come anywhere close at this point. HOWEVER, once modding progresses further over the next few years, more and more people will begin to make bigger, more extravagant mods, which take up more file space. We saw this in on FNV, and Skyrim even more so. My answer is this: you're gonna be fine for right now, however if this limit stays, it may be an issue in like 2-5 years if current trends remain constant. blackninja50
like digitaltrucker said it's impossible to tell but as an example I have 84 mods (minus my base game texture replacer also some mods have 4k textures) and it uses 4.55 gb so 40ish mods in 2 gb should be doable. You could probably get about 100 if you get mods with low res textures. combine mods, remove readmes and are careful. Note: This is speculation based on my load order using lots of simple/early days mods.
Thaneize
when i remove the mods that wont work on consoles (retexes, real weapons and other things) i get 4GB in 184 Mods. Mostly shennanigans. If you only put in gameplay enhancers you will never reach 2GB. Normal mods that add items with non Vanilla textures like armors, outfits and weapons, usually are between 60 and 250MB in size. So you can install quite a bit. I wouldnt bash Microsoft for that 2GB limit btw, they know pretty well what their console can handle, belive me, the PS4 can't handle much more there. The architecture is almost identical. If Sony comes up with 4GB just to beat Microsoft i doubt it can handle the 4GB very well. The Xbox isn't a bad console, Microsoft just had bad judgement at the PR and made some really stupid PRE-RELEASE decisions, which all got killed off PRE-RELEASE and people are still bashing them for it and claiming it still is that way. The PS 4 has better VRAM and a slightly different CPU, but thats about it, everything else is the exact same. Trust me, i have them both, still i play FO4 on PC lol
