Blu02
But.. what if you got married to someone who already has a child? That's theoretically adoption!
InuyashaFE
The mighty quest of waiting hand and foot for a baby. Sounds like fun. The whole idea behind Elder Scrolls was exploring the world, and it's kind of hard if you have a family to take care of. Not to mention it'd break immersion if your family aged, but no one else did. Edited October 16, 2011 by InuyashaFE
greatpan
Undoubtedly there will be a mod for it. All of the pieces are in the game, just need to put them together! ^^
InuyashaFE
I'd be fine with it as a mod, but Vanilla shouldn't have it. Same as my stance on nudity in the games, clothe them in vanilla, and leave it to the modders to add the option.
Soolie
Just think of it this way, Bethesda could waste their time implementing a family system into the game. Or, they could use that time to add new combat features, adding spells or fixing bugs.
Odai
No you cant have children as a result of your courtships. However, that doesnt stop the significant other from having baggage of their own. Also keep in mind... All of Oblivion could be beat within a few in-game months. Having a child for different races takes different amounts of time and even then it would only be a baby. A kid that the parent already has will be a kid for ~7 years (6- 13).... But what I find odd is that there doesnt seem to be a differentiating factor for adolescents. I look forward to seeming a little Dunmer punk. :P
justwannaddl
I actually wouldn't mind aging in the game if it were implemented well. It would certainly change the way people pick and choose their characters given the races' different life spans. That said, it is probably too complex for this iteration of Elder Scrolls at least. A shame really since I'd love to see babies turn into old men over years of playing the game. @InuyashaFE - I'm the opposite to your position. Nudity should not only be allowed but also be prevalent. This game isn't being marketed to kids anyway so it should be allowed the same content as you'd find for other media geared towards adults, including nudity. As for kids, I never understood people's resistance to kids in games. It isn't as if you won't see kids in TV and movies for adults and they tend to get treated a lot worse than anything players can do to kids in games.
