Updating Legacy of the Dragonborn

I am having trouble updating Legacy of the Dragonborn. It works great for me except the replica bench which is fixed with the update but I am having trouble updating. I used NMM to install the mod, but you have to install the update manually and that is where I get confused. I am not great with these things, but I will explain the best I can.

Here are the directions for updating:

To upgrade from one version of 15 to another, simply download the update pack, and extract it MANUALLY into your legacy install folder for NMM/MO (or /Data if the core package was manually installed). The install folder for Legacy if using MO or NMM should be inside of a /Mods folder inside your mod program main folder (ex: Mod Organizer/Mods/LegacyoftheDragonborn) When prompted, overwrite all files. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES install the update package as an additional entry in your mod profile! I WILL NOT GIVE SUPPORT if you have installed this way.

Here is what I tried: I went into my NMM Mods file, but the file is compressed. So I decompressed the file, downloaded the update, decompressed the update and dragged the updated files into the decompressed main file and overwrote the files. I went into the game and the update did not seem to have taken affect as the replica bench is still missing. I went from Solitude to Markarth and waited 4 days and went back just to see if that would help, but it didn't. I tried the same method several times and it never worked. I also tried re-compressing the file and it didn't help either.

Note: I am asking here and not on the mod's page because this is a problem I am having installing an update in general, not an issue with this mod

Thank you!

ok so im rusty with nmm but i think i see what your doing wrong lol, i believe with nmm it makes a folder in the directory of nmm for like placebo type things which will actually be present in your skyrim data folder when running the game via nmm, so you need to find the folder for the legacy mod (should already be un-packed from installation) then you add in the update files to that folder and overwrite watever needs to be.

you can NOT put it directly into your data folder because than the mod itself will overwrite the update when loading the game.. hope this all makes sense haha ill re-install nmm quick so i can get the exact directory names for you, gimme a few minutes
