A much-needed "Block User" button, to stop trolls from commenting.

Hi, this site needs a "Block User" button. Actually, two buttons: Block, and Fully Block. A Blocked user will not be able to comment on your mods or posts. A Fully Blocked user will not be able to comment on your mods or posts, OR download or see any of your mods, because their IP address will be blocked from that user's mods.

It already exists. When they post a comment, you can use the "block from all files" button to the top right corner of their comment.

Edit: Then again... Should I block this guy, or let him rant on my pages and hope he gets banned or something for being such a jerk?

It's up to you. You can let them post then report them for harassment and hope it's enough to get them banned or you can remove them from posting directly to you right now. I suppose it depends on how bad their behavior actually is.

The blocking feature also gives the option to report him, if he's being a pest I'd do both.

Block em, i say, but i'm an angry old man so.....I wish i could block trolls i find on other mod pages because i would in a motherloving heartbeat.

Block and report is what we'd prefer I'd say, if they actually violated the terms that is.

 

Otherwise, every second you just have them blocked from your own pages and let them run around un-reported will be yet another second where they'll cause harm to others instead.
