DeutscherVolker
Hey Lads, last night I found this out: I have fov 90 in Fallout 4. It looks like this: When I type "fov 110" in the Console in the Game, the Hand looks much more realistic, but when i leave the console... The Game Fov reverts to somehting like 70... but the hand stays like that.. And now my Question is: Is there a Way, to get the Hands look like this and keep a nice FOV like 90 or more? Any helpfull Hints would be much apreciated. Best Regards, DeutscherVolker
noahdvs
Setting FOV in the ini settings will make the FOV stay at 90, but not the viewmodel FOV. Maybe if you use an Autoexec.txt file to set the FOV, the viewmodel FOV will always be right?Put this in Fallout4Custom.ini (make one if you don't have it and always put your custom ini settings in here instead of fallout4.ini): sStartingConsoleCommand=bat AutoExecNext make AutoExec.txt in the \steamapps\common\Fallout4 folder and put the fov settings in just like you would do it in the console.Like this basically: fov

Slostenn
If you change your FOV in-game, you need to use the "refreshini" command to restore the first person FOV listed in your config. Your viewmodel FOV will stick, so for example, if you want a viewmodel FOV of 110 but a first person FOV of 90 just do "fov 110" followed by "refreshini." Also, you might want to do some testing with viewmodel FOVs before committing to a value. Handguns do indeed look much better with a higher viewmodel FOV, but anything using the submachine gun animations (ie 90% of rifles added by mods) will look ridiculous. Unfortunately, as far as I know there's no way to create separate viewmodel FOVs for each weapon without editing the animations, which is currently not possible.
