Death_Penalty
I must agree.FFVII's musical score kicked ass.Chrono Trigger and Cross were also very memorable.I also liked Icewind Dale II's music score, it fit in very well with the scenery. Nevex
Game music...well Final Fantasy is really catchy, but after playing Morrowind for as long as I have it has become the theme music in my dreams, and you can't tell me thats not scary! Well Warcraft III had some pretty good music as well. Guess I'm at a trio of roads?
FlyingFox
Hey, has anyone here heard of the game Anachronox? GREAT music. I found the mp3s on my computer and made a CD out of them (and yes, I bought the game, and no, there is no soundtrack CD, so this is not illegal-- for private use only  ). I listen to it all the time. Also, Homeworld had really good music. Oh, and Dungeon Siege! Also great. :) Out of those three I gotta say Ananchronox, because there's a lot of good piano pieces and dark music that fits the game very well. Too bad the branch of Ion Storm that made it is now non-existant. Oh well. :(
Switch
well the most amazing music i've heard i have 2 say is the morrowind theme tune... but y'know in game it doesnt fit in with the scenery very well sometimes (cos it just plays a loop of about 6 different background tracks over and over) so in that way i have 2 say final fantasy :P
NickJones
My all-time favorite single piece of videogame music comes from Final Fantasy III/VI. It plays when you get to the Veldt area. The version I like (htere are three) is titled "The Veldt - 'Wild West 3'", and can be found at the link below: SNES music It's in MIDI format, can be downloaded, and will play on Windows Media Player. I love the African-style percussion track with the orchestral part over it, reminiscent of Egyptian or Middle Eastern music.

Guest Guest
Wait, I'm not a guest. Why does this site keep forgetting who I am? I checked everything off for persistence.
Guest Caliburn
Sorry to hear the site gives problems, you should contact the tech department if this keeps up. As for best game music, the Suikoden series have unrivalled musical scores I feel. :)
SothThe69th
Castlevania == teh rox. Barring that, I'd have to go with Megaman, if for no other reason than the remix scene.
