Just make sure you follow the official instructions on the requiem page....not the one on nexus.

I dont use NMM and havent had it installed for 2 years as Mod Organizer is WAAAAY better so i cant help with anything regarding NMM cause i barely remember how to use it.

But make sure your reqtificator is setup correctly.

I finally found the problem....

After playing my game a while using JUST Requiem I saw things which caused me grief.....

Things like armor being over powered, swords which grew with attack over time.... and many other over powered issues... the running / walking was just the beginning....

I had a sword which had a base attack of 34 and when my player was level 15, that same sword had a base attack of 4,690. By the time I got to level 20, the base attack was over 34,000. That caused me some concern. I could see it growing in attack as you leveled up, but not that much.... maybe 20 points in 20 levels would be better.

So I ran my game, kept a log on the issues and levels using the mod Adventurer's Diary (click name to go to the mod) and came to one firm conclusion.... Requiem Sucks!

I fixed my issues. I uninstalled Requiem & all the patches made for it. Then I uninstalled the game, DLCs, and everything. I deleted all the skyrim folders and started fresh. Now the game runs perfectly.

So my thanks to all those who responded. If you are having the same problems with your game that I was having, you should get rid of Requiem yourself and start fresh as well. There are many mods out there which do the same things as Requiem without being over powered. You just have to look for them and figure out what you like.

One thing I am doing differently is backing up my data folder into a rar file. So if I don't like the changes a file makes, I can uninstall the file and then delete the data folder and install it again from the rar file. This way my game folder doesn't get filled with useless crap that isn't needed or used.

Thanks.

P.S. Some like Requiem and the modders who created it did a good job. I am not cutting them or the mod down. All I am doing in this post is giving people other options if they are having the same issues I was.

you say it sucks but arent cuttiing it down?

You also said you didnt have any mods installed?

Maybe in future you should follow directions. Requiem most definitely doesnt suck but its also definitely not for everyone.

Pretty sure i told you that you have something conflicting....

It Sucks.

I don't have any other mods installed.

Now I have uninstalled it and guess what..... I don't have the problems with walking speed or weapons / armor any more..... maybe it wasn't the cause but if that was the case.... then when I uninstalled it.... it would still have problems and I DON'T!!!

I followed the directions perfectly and it didn't work.

MAYBE..... IN THE FUTURE..... YOU SHOULD BE LESS OF A DICKHEAD AND LISTEN BEFORE MAKING COMMENTS......

Adios!

You're rude

MissAngelMoon

Others spend time to try to help you out then you somehow know better - yet 1000s (*yes thousands) of us have siccessfuly run the Requiem mod with choice other mods without the issues you were having. I think you should apologize to Ironbender and maybe exercise some restraint later on... it's one thing to mutter something negative verbally to ourselves since most of us have done so from time to time, but to actually spend the time to type out an insult in a community that is really full of people just trying to help each other, that's just plain immature!

Its ok my feelings arent hurt.

She isnt telling the whole story about what she had installed. Just like i said from the get go.

Easy to spot user error when shes the only one reporting this problem. She doesnt understand that requiem changes skyrim completely into almost a new game and in doing so edits a lot of vanilla forms.

She had something conflicting with requiem glitching its values. User error not an issue with the mod.

You're the RUDE one jeedge..... ironbender has been rude about this everytime he talked... all I did was get pissed off and then became rude back. But you're rude for coming to his defense without reading all his replies....

I had no other mods downloaded when i used Requiem.... so what you said from the get go was lies.....

The problem is within Requiem itself. Level your character up and look for yourself.... If you have the same issues, chances are it's REQ's fault.... if you don't, count yourself lucky.

Don't take anyone else's word on anything you are doing.... find out the truth for yourself.

Yea I think the general consensus would agree - and magically, others have not chimed in to help. I wonder why???

I speak my mind. If that bothers people, tough crap. I am not here to make countless friends that I will never meet or really get to know. Friendship to me is earned and is something special. If people don't like me here, that's up to them to decide. I ask a question to get some help. If none wants to answer there are many other places I can go and get help..... Nexus isn't the only skyrim site. I am not here to be lectured. I am trying to learn the dynamics of the game before I try to make mods here like I have on other games.... I prefer making mods which add a new land with towns, dungeons, quests, and adversaries. A mod that once installed will give hours of more playtime. But like I said, I won't do that until I learn the dynamics of the game. If no one wants to help me then it is the choice. You are not hurting my feelings at all.

lol i was never pissed off.

I have probably a couple hundred hours of gametime logged with requiem installed

Requiem is one of the most popular overhauls. It also is STILL being worked on improved and updated.

It has thousands of users and nobody but you is reporting this.

I am currently in a playthrough......20 hours or so in and level 20......no issues what so ever.

Apply some common sense. In the meantime dont use it.....requiem wont miss you.

you claimed to have MULTIPLE major issues. Now doesnt common sense tell you that IF it was requiem other people would also have these issues?????

common sense definitely isnt so common....but ignorance is
