A question on the Early Release of Skyrim (Pre-Orders)

You know what bothers me about this whole Steam thing, if it Crashes or Steam decide not to work for 3 days or your Internet is Cut, how will you Install the Game and play Offline

You wont !!! -- you'll just have to wait until they get things fixed -- same as if Steam ever goes bankrupt or sells out and the new purchasor decides not to support the old titles anymore and shuts down the old servers - No one can play any of the games they had purchased that require them unless the company that actually made the game goes back and rereleases a method to fix it so it can be used. (And their TOS makes it clear that you as a user will have no recourse in the event that something like that happens.

Because Steam will work on 11.11.11 and your internet will not be cut on that exact day. Don't be so paranoid people, Steam never had major any problems.

And you can play the game offline after you install it.

Valve stated that if Steam/Valve shuts down, all your Steam games will be available without Steam.

So basically i can turn my Internet Off right now and Install Skyrim, then play Offline.

Then how do you still get Updates and Patches from Old and New Games.

Not exactly, you first have to install Skyrim with your internet on, when Skyrim is installed you may turn of the internet and play offline.

I have no idea how patches would work then. We shouldn't worry about this. Steam and Valve will not go bankrupt or shut down anytime soon.
