Billy34
There are sites out there that pirated the mod. If you DO want to download it, feel free. Although, i wouldnt go posting willy nilly the link to it if anyone does find it. Not sure if that can get you banned or not, but not worth the risk Edited August 20, 2017 by Billy34

Beardedwonder95
I'm sure it has been answered, but the REAL reason said by the author himself, is that he got tired of people stealing his mods and putting them up on Bethesda.net without permission and many of those people were asking for money. If people were stealing my mods and putting them on Bethesda.net, which luckily they can't because they're reshades and enb's, I would take similar action. Bethesda does nothing and even turned down Nexus' offer to help monitor their site.
V1K1N9
I was looking for this simply for the hood. Trying to find a decent hood is really hard. I want my female character to look like a wasteland S.T.A.L.K.E.R type but so far, all I've seen are edits of the Hunter's hood and I think the Rebel Hood with a beanie under it, which isn't good for females with hair. Damn, might have to settle for the Hunter's Hood with removed bandana I guess for now. Honestly, it's a bit of a throwing toys out of pram attitude though, to deny thousands of people the file he initially shared on here. It doesn't make sense to do that since it only serves to make the 'stolen' upload look more original and unique, having no original source due to it being removed. Whelp, up to him I suppose. It's not a nice thing to do to steal someone's creativeness, let alone copy it. If I were him I'd have left a message on my mod informing of the issue but that Bethesda be contacted and have the copy removed, maybe things were more complicated than that? Bit late to the party I know, but it's a shame all said n done.

What else sucks is that Bethesda are in blatant competition with modding community, yet trying to look like they aren't. Involving Nexus in monitoring mods would have definitely stopped this crappy stuff going on for sure!!! Why are Bethesda so ignorant? Stupid? Something that comes to mind here, from your post, Beardedwonder95, is that Bethesda don't want to do anything because it looks like there's a possibility that Bethesda are making money off uploaded/downloaded paid mods? That's awful if it's true and needs action taking against it.

Deleted49413338User
I knew this kind of rubbish was going to happen when they started letting console peasants mess around with mods. Err.. You need a PC to port mods to console. So really, console players are not the ones to blame.. I certainly do not understand the mentality of unauthorized ports but I do recall one guy, back when I played on xbox who ported many mods in about a period of two weeks and posted no description other than a link to his patreon for donations.. I msged his about how he was getting permission and he replied with this crazy rage rant about how he didn't have to explain himself to anyone. lol. Mod theft is a problem of course.. Bethesda have not a very good system for detecting it. I will say though, I recall LordOFWar giving permission to use his armors in mashups, of which I have made one. I don't recall ever seeing instruction to not post on Bethesda. But I don't post anything on Bethesda anyway. When I used to play on xbox The Mercenary Pack was up and a popular mod. I had no idea it was ported without permission.
