PoliteRaider
Good thing I always save my mods. Got about 4 GB of mods for Fallout 4. He can't delete his stuff from my hard drive so I can use it whenever I want. I think perhaps you're missing the point somewhat. While backups are always a good idea and it's a good habit to get into to make regular backups, focusing on that as the concern of your post is showing pretty much a complete disregard for the author. Boasting then about your freedom to use it and possession of it, is showing a pretty strong focus on your own self-interest above anything else. If you are one of those people who delete mods when the author deleted them - go on. Do as you wish. :DBut I'll keep them. Forever.

Hopefully those things won't happen but you never know. In any case might be a good idea to back this mod up on a flash drive. Well, this is sad news, as the Rebel was my favorite Fallout 4 mod by far. So does have a link or statement from him about what happened? Or if he plans to continue modding or where? All I'm seeing right now is speculation and infighting, which doesn't help anyone.

All I'm seeing right now is speculation and infighting, which doesn't help anyone. I have been searching around on the topic and I have found this. first off i can't describe how much i love nexus and all those who made it what it is now, and from my perspective these whole situation will be fixed sooner or later.i know how people feel about leaving and deleting mods, many doesn't deserve that especially those who stood by my side, people are different and their reactions to certain things differ from one another. some modders will decide to continue others won't, some will be aggressive and so on........ since some people are judging me for what i did, i will try to describe how i feel about those whole mess. my mods have been uploaded into B.net more than 5 times and i didn't take any actions because people were taking care of it, they were reporting those files and i didn't care that much about how long it took them to respond, i was busy working and trying to free some more time for modding, more than 9 designs at once, damn i was very excited, anyway here is when it got ugly, people started to send me a lot of message about porting my mods to consoles : " will you port your mods to consoles? why don't you port them to xbone? what is taking you so long ? if you are busy let someone else do it ? " i was responding to them as best as i could and started to delete some as messages been sent every day bushing me around i grow tired of it eventually, they could have just read my sticky post, turned out just few read it and the rest was sending messages. some people started trolling and insulting and i was wondering why the hell would someone do that ?!! i didn't insult anyone even those who took my mods, i never been part of PC VS Console war, it felt like you trying to help someone and he just keeps spitting on you, i felt no fun in modding any more so i decided to stop. then i heard a mod author that i respect accusing me of stealing a design consipt, which i am not sure if he had put it in that way, it felt horrible and depressed, and that was it.i really hope those whole situation been resolved soon.So he quit because console players kept bloody pestering him to port and he did his best but it turned to insults, so thanks console players, thanks for understanding how hard it is to make a mod, I understand your new to the community but to those of you who pull this. Leave. Edited July 23, 2016 by Death88400
Crossforge
Hmmm, where did you find that? I do recall asking if he had plans to bring the Rebel to bethesda.net, because I had some friends on console that would love it. But that was before he had posted any stickies about it. Shame, now they'll never get to see it. :( However, I don't think it's fair laying the blame soully on console modders, his last line is particularly telling. I'm not saying it's all on Console players, but a lot of it is because they are new and dont understand the time and such that it takes to get A ported to B whilst working on it alone. Fair enough, but lets not lump all console mod players in with the lot that decided to be rude. That's just pouring water on a grease fire. dragonslayer2k12
He could have just typed out a fcuk console player response and pasted that into every email response he had to send every day. Don't get depressed get MAD! and piss on them with console peasant insults or whatever. Just a bunch of 12 yr olds that know how to use email anyway but the real problem for him was some jerk accusing him of using their stuff. This is where it will go for modding very soon, a mod becomes popular then some turd says it looks too much like their mod and one or both get shut down from nexus and beth.theft so we are screwed as far as people releasing new mods now that are really good. We have some mediocre mods to look forward to in the near future thanks to those turds claiming something looks like their mod.
Juromaro
I used quite a bit from L0rd, still use his NCR outfit. I have the Rebel outfit but it hasn't been updated(probably never will now), but I can understand his frustration. Precisely the reason I don't release my own person mods. I can see where he'd get tired of it, you release a gun and the wannabe gunphobes come out of the wood work saying "ZOMG DUDE YOU DON'T HAVE THE FACTORY SCRATCH ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TRIGGER!!!" or "Hey great mod love it but could you make a FN99 357 from 1901 I have one in real life and I love it!". Then you get people who make armor mods like L0rd and Eli, "ZOMG WHERE IS IT I CAN"T FIND IT WHATS THE CONSOLE CODE!!!!!" or "Hey great mod love it, but could you make a slutty version so I can have them on my character, also can you make a bodyslide for it so it'll be compatible with my 140 inch DDDD size body?????" I have mad respect for people like L0rd, Dogtooth, Eli and the rest of the "top" mods being able to put up with that crap day in day out, some even get death threats now cause of console users. OMG bring that to console please, I realize that it's not compatible and could break my system to which I'll hold you responsible for, but ermagerd I totes needs it!!!!. Bethesda really screwed the pooch with console mods, but their biggest mistake was trying to officially support Mods on their own Bethesda mods are so clunky and an eyesore to try and find something that I just plain don't use it.
