moltack131
I think its time we address an issue... The pathfinding for settlers/companions... We have hundreds of mods adding new items, new buildings, new furniture, and even new settlements entirely yet the npcs still can barely use doors properly, they walk half way up stairs then just stop, blocking the stairs for everyone... I for one love building very salvaged looking settlements to keep immersion, often with raised walkways and buildings on stilts (such as the the screenshot below) but the npcs never use the beautiful city i made for them... they just congregate under it or walk into walls infinity, putting all my hours of hard work to nothing... Is there anything possible to be done about this? maybe a "better pathfinding" mod or something?
noahdvs
You could be using mod settlement items that don't have good nav meshes.
BlackRoseOfThorns
It's much better then it was in Skyrim. As long the mods you use have proper collision+navmesh (any custom object mod that wasn't updated after CK was released won't have those) and you leave enough empty space the NPC will navigate around new objects without problems. In Skyrim you had to navmesh everything manually from CK and it was incopatible with anything that you placed realtime ingame.
