  1. 1. Did you purchase a new computer or parts?

    • I purchased a new computer
    • I purchased new parts
    • I purchased new parts/or all parts and built my computer
    • I did not get any new parts(or at least not for Skyrim) But wish I did
    • I did not get any new parts(or at least not for Skyrim) And will not.
    • I don't care.
    • I purchased new parts/computer and now I regret it after see'ing Skyrim's specs!

When I first heard of TESV back in January I purchased my 550ti. Should be able to handle maxing it out at an acceptable FPS for me (30+)

yea, noticed that on your profile a while back....

I got a 560ti not too long ago on my for buying spree.

new power supply

new tower, new hard drive

this time I bought a motherboard, processer and RAM

i dont know if it was my motherboard, my processer or my RAM,.. but my graghics card just didnt feel like it was pumping the power it should have been. Since I replaced all, I doubt there will be an issue now, :)

and for any guests using the old computer...screw the moniter and mouse and keyboard,... im sure theres some extras laying around somewhere here, lol

I hope to make do with my current config until a new generation of consoles appears.

It's far from top, but good enough, IMO:

Phenom II x3 720 (2.8GHz), 4 GB, Radeon HD 5850

EDIT: Maybe will buy an SSD in spring, but mostly for CivV, not Skyrim...

If I can, I will update my graphic card to the 560ti, I missed out on the gtx 460 but I hear the 560 is pretty much the same thing but with all aspects unlock, so it's faster. If not, I'll get a new system built that can take it, and yeah, all for Skyrim

I bought an AMD Radeon HD 6970 2GB back in the Spring. It was about 50% due to Skyrim & 50% due to the fact that between selling my HD 5850 used and finding a really good deal I only had to spend about $30 on it (brand new). I also bought a 96 GB SSD about the same time, but that was not due to Skyrim (still might install it on there though). :)

I last upgraded for The Witcher 2 and I max it out at 1920x1080 without lag (I skipped Übersampling though, it's not a reasonable option). I think I'll be fine... as long as Bethesda's done some decent optimizing.

My PC is far from being the newest of the newest, but it's made up of very good price/performance parts. I'm not planning on calculating any NASA spaceship landings so a computer like Tcafitra's would just be wasted for me.

Currently doing very well on all recent games with:

AMD Phenom II X2 560 BE 3.30 GHZ

4 GB RAM

Sapphire Radeon HD5850 Xtreme 1 GB (God I love this beauty, best price/performance card I've ever come across)
