Hey guys Im new to mods in FO4 and was wondering if anyone could help me to figure out why my game keeps crashing to desktop everyone couple minutes, or whenever i fast travel it seems like. sometimes before i even load in.

It's probably either:

 

A. Load order conflict

B. A mod you downloaded not having all of the requirments (f4se etc)

C. A mod conflict

 

Do you use anything like LOOT to help with your load order? Did you double check all of your mods for their requirements or that they'll work nicely with another mod?

I use LOOT but Im entirely new to it. I had sorted the plugins through it as well as using the update masterlist button, how do i know that my game is using the Load Order from LOOT and not NMM? I

I know you're new, but I know a way to see all the conflicts all at once. Get FO4Edit, open it up, click ok when the mod selection box pops up, right click in the area where all the mod names are once it finishes loading, click Apply Filter and use these settings. You will see all the mods that are having issues of some kind. Keep in mind that not every issue, even the ones marked in red will cause the crash, but having some clue about what to look at is a whole lot better than no clue and hoping others will fix the problem. You may even find that you can fix some of the issues yourself just by copying or dragging and dropping stuff in FO4Edit.
