funny things is, is i have no real reason i dont want modding on consoles. let me point out i am primarily a Ps3 gamer first and foremost. im not a PC fanboy trying to exclude consoles from modding, im a Ps3 fanboy trying to exclude us from it. idk y. i just have a feeling, i dont want consoles to have modding lol.

its like a gut feeling, i cant explain it, i just know i simply dont want it.

Well, if it's optional, why even stress about it?

I honestly don't want consoles to have mods either, but thats just because I fear the the rate of new modders would decrease. I mean, no matter what I find it hard to believe that they will ever be able to create mods on an xbox...

Well, in theory it's possible. It's mainly M$ that is preventing it.

This one comment made this entire thread for me.

if consoles get modding, then the PC has nothing left besides graphics

Besides better control using KB & mouse - or using a game controller if you want

More programmable keys (ALL of them can be programmed - including the possibility of macro keys.

More ways to customize how you play - before including mods.

No need to tie up the family TV to play a game - but you still have that option if you want it.

And, you can actually do many things besides play games on a PC.

the one thing i LOVE about playing on my laptop is the ability to watch TV while doing so.

and you mentioned better controls (i deleted the sentence before i thought of it)...i hate using a mouse and keyboard for things with guns. Mass Effect, Battlefield, even FallOut, though i do have New Vegas on PC for mods, and because its not about accuracy due to VATS, but even in games like ME, i cannot get used to a mouse to aim with. i understand faster reaction time and better precision, but personally, when i was debating whether to get ME2 on PC or Ps3 (nvr player ME1) i played the demo on both systems like 10 times, and went with Ps3, cause i didnt like aiming with a mouse.

lol im not fretting about mods on consoles. it may even be one of those things, that if/when it does happen, ill absolutely enjoy it. i have no argument against it lol, just a gut feeling as i said.

Im with you.

Sadly i started my gaming experience years ago on consoles and trying to play with a mouse and keyboard is just impossible. No matter how hard i try, i fail. I have oblivion for the pc of course and i cant use bows and arrows cuz i cant aim precisley without the controller.

Its like i have two left feet...but with gaming.

im similar in that ive always been a console gamer and only recently started playing PC games (besides Star Craft which ive played for years)...i dont like the mouse/keyboard for shooters. i tried Mass Effect 2 on PC and just didnt like the feel, so contrary to what many ppl do, i keep my shooters on consoles. but for other games like FO3 (i dont consider a shooter cause of VATS) RTSs, RPGs, MMOs, etc i play on PC.
