Ok i saw a site that had this for the Requirements of Skyrim...

Quad-core Intel/AMD CPU

4GB RAM

DirectX 9 video card with 1GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 260/AMD Radeon 4890 or better

Windows XP/7

6GB hard disk space

DirectX compatible soundcard

Is this right? Im debating about either the PC version or the Xbox version. My computer is..

AMD-Quad core

10GB Ram

EVGA GTS 450 video card

Windows 7 64bit

Over 6GB hard drive

but no sound cars just using the sound from the video card to my tv.......question is, I want to make sure my computer can run it on the highest it can be ran on or im getting it for Xbox....Please let me know what you think. Thank You, Dieboldly

You computer will run Skyrim on max with a hand tied behind its back, assuming that GTX 460 has 1GB of ram.

I'll have to look if it's 1gb or 512mb...I know I can play fallout Vegas on ultra but I think skyrim will have more in depth graphics. Thank you for your opinion. What do you have In your system?

Edit: Oh a 450, not a 460. It's a bit less powerful, but you still surpass the recommended specs. Not really sure if it'll get you to 60 FPS on max settings on 1980x1080 resolutions, but it should certainly get you pretty close to that on 1600 x 900 or similar resolutions.

I think the lowest they made for the GTX 450 was 768 MB, which should at the very least give bring you to "high" settings.

Those min/recommended specs are basically saying a mid-range PC from 4 years ago should be able to play it on low to medium, and a mid-range PC from 3 years ago should play it on "high". If you have better than a 3-year old PC, then you shouldn't have any worries about running Skyrim.

Personally, I have an AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.4 Ghz, 8GB Ram, Windows 7, and an ATI HD Radeon 5870. It was a top of the line PC 1.5 years ago, now it in the high-ish mid-range. Which means it'll cream Skyrim.

rec is 260 .. the 450 is a lil less or just on par .. about the same really .. the 450 has DX11 though .. which honestly means squat for this game.

And the graphics ram doesn't mean a whole lot .. its really just about texture size and screen size .. 1gig is standard these days and more than enough for any game .. assuming your system ram is 3gig+

You will run it but not on "ultra" settings .. it will look better than the 360 though! .. which is a pos compared to your rig.

I have an AMD Phenom 965 Black Edition Quad Core CPU, 8 Gigs of Kingston Hyper X Blue 1600 MGhz RAM, Windows 7 64 bit, and an Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 1 GB GDDR3 video card. How well do you think I could run Skyrim with that headbbomb and Jedi?

I can run Crysis with everything set to Very High except for Shaders, which is set to High with a constant 30-35 FPS. Also running in DX10 mode, so yeah. What is your opinion?

And I only said Crysis because that is the most taxing game that I have XD. Sorry for the double post.
