Mookeylama
Vista user. FOMM worked just fine for months . not sure what happened in the last day but whenever i try to open i get Windows popup "FOMM has stopped working". i found a crash DMP file but trying to figure out how to open it lol. i have UAC disabled, tho i could always run FOMM before just by using "run as admin". i read something about Net Framework so checked in the Uninstall repair section and it's showing and i have... Net Framework 1.1Net Framework 3.5 SP1Net Framework 4 client profile do i need a different Framework?also if i uninstall reinstall FOMM will all my mods from before be checked? i can actually still open and run the game like always and all mods are running. thanks! gunslinger6792
if you unistall the FOMM you still keep you keep your mods and the game "should" still run. that said try deleating and reinstalling the FOMM and let it do the auto install. if that fails manually tell to go to the NV folder and that should work. if not hit me up i had a similar problem like this b4 and i got it working. HatterMaster
Had the same problem, just delete FOMM, re-download it, auto install and when you fire it up all of your mods will still come up, exactly how you ordered them and everything else will still work :)
Mookeylama
thanks all! when you say "delete FOMM", you mean uninstall right? also i kinda got it working. i read an old post about moving the GEMM folder into the Falloutnewvegas main directory (not Data) and i did that. FOMM will now open but it looks like it's prompting me to reinstall it. it's asking for locations (sorry but i'm old and PC iliterate lol). is it okay to just let it auto install, or should i point it to a location? this guy states to place it in c:/games http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/283847-fomm-crashing-on-startup/My link will my active mods still be checked? because if i loose that load order i'm screwed. too many merged, or too many mods in general. thanks! HatterMaster
I didnt uninstall it, i found FOMMs file archive and just gutted it completely, reinstall (yes to over wright if you missed anything) and it should work :)I wouldnt recommend this for repairing anything else though... ever, since trying it with a major file could realy f*** up your game
