KaelVirum Posted June 10, 2016 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I'm currently trying to add my own custom dog mesh to the game. It's modeled after my real life Dog and his tail is docked, so that's what I did to the mesh was just remove the tail. Now I'm at the point where it's a NIF and can be added to the game but the dog animations don't work. I've figured out that it has all the necessary bone data that it needs it's just not weight painted at all so I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to transfer the weights from the RaiderDog.nif, which is the mesh I altered, to my mesh in Outfit Studio or if I have to paint it all one vertex at a time. If anyone here would wanna check it out and give me advice or even help I'll be very grateful My advice is 'take your time'. Can't rush these things. My own vault mod took well over 4 years to complete. As a console user I still took the time to do some limited research of what it is you guys and ladies actually do. While most of what I read is basically Latin to me I definitely understand the complexity of what it is you create.  So to do my part ive been working on the Beth forums with a group of modders who have asked for help from consoles identifying stolen mods and getting video for them so they can use it as proof and report the mods. I've done this a couple times and I'm especially keeping an eye out for pirated versions of the CBBE as I'm aware of how important that is to your community and it would be a shame if the author had to pull it for you guys because people in my community are stealing it.  So with that being said what I'd ask from you is regarding the topic of DRM. I'm aware that there may be some mods implementing this if there aren't already. I don't think it would effect me too harshly as every time I've tested a possible stolen mod I'm using a new save so that if the mod corrupts it I'm not really losing anything to any saves I care about and then I'm deleting the stolen mod in question after capturing video for the modders. My only concern is if there is or could be something that would potentially harm my games other saves even in using this method id like to be aware. If you've created something or become aware of any that may do me unintended harm id appreciated it if you pm'ed me so I could avoid it if possible. If you're not comfortable trusting me at the moment you could pm one of the modders on the team so they can decide if they trust letting me know.
