ninjagoat4
Yo, first time posting, couple thousandth time visiting! First off my budget is about 150-200$usdCan be put in that spot w/ discounts and rebates. I use to have a hd 5770 but it finally burnt out and so I'm looking to replace it. No crossfire or SLI, looking for just a single card. After looking for hours I'm becoming only frustrated, since I know hardware but just the basics. Here are the cards I've been looking at, but go ahead and suggest anything you recommend. Pretty much since the specs are out I want a card that can play Skyrim at the max setting with 40+ fps. Trying to get that with the lowest amount of cost possible... GTX 560: Really solid deal with the games but, id skip the games and get a better gpu or cheaper price if I could!http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127592MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP: Pushing the price but the rebate is a kickerhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127545gah idk so many tabs open and closed I lost all my links. Thoughts?
hoofhearted4
either of those cards will work. Skyrim doesnt really require all that much since it was gimped for consoles. my honest opinion, is if you dont plan on going SLI, save up some more money and get a card that can ill perform at similar levels as two 560s in SLI but cheaper, like a 570, or better yet a 580, however both of those cards are well out of the price range you listed, as such, i would suggest you save up more. but, you wont be going wrong with either of those two cards listed, they will play most current games no problem

Rydan
Also check out www.hwcompare.com and use it to compare cards and to help you choose. Some cards produce higher temperatures and consume much more electrical power than others (especially older vs newer models), which IMO should be taken into consideration before buying. Omeletter
I got an HD6770 1GB recently, and according to some forum post somewhere on the internet, somewhere, I can run it at high/ultra. Results might vary though. Edited November 2, 2011 by Omeletter
