Azworai
Okay. Thank you! The vcredist's both don't give an install option, only reinstall/modify. Do I reinstall them, or does that mean they're up to date? I assume that means it's up to date. Would reinstalling hurt?
Dragon32
Shouldn't do. It's basically verifying and refreshing any damaged files etc.
Azworai
Alright, ran all those. Time to see if the issue is fixed... and I can scan again! Or do I need to start a new game?
Dragon32
Those things you just reinstalled are common bits of code used by all sorts of different program, updating them mean that XCOM 2 will just be using the most up to date bit of code when it needs to. So no need to start a new game.
Azworai
Alrighty, time to test! Wish me luck! Will edit in if the issue seems fixed shortly. Edit: Nope! No XCOM 2 for me still... Massive Disappointment. Edited July 24, 2016 by Azworai
Dragon32
Bad luck  It's the Pure Virtual Function error? So far (touch wood) it's not happened for me.
Azworai
Didn't get the pure virtual function error this time. The game simply crashes when I attempt to scan. Any scan, but ONLY when I scan. If I fly the avenger around, it's fine, but if I attempt to scan ANYTHING it crashes.
Dragon32
Right. Different thing then. Mods? Cleared out your Config folder in My Documents? Any conflicts shown by Alternate Mod Launcher?
Azworai
I'm using a lot of mods. You wanted a full listing? I'd heard the LW toolbox had a tendency to cause issues, but can't recall where. I didn't count precisely, but the number is roughly 40-ish. No, I haven't cleared the config folder. Do I just go and 'trash' everything in that folder? What's the Alternate Mod Launcher? I just use vanilla Edited July 26, 2016 by Azworai
